  1. I don't think it would and I'll tell you why: The Euro got lucky and sniffed out two generational snowstorms in a week and then sniffed out a once-in-a-lifetime tropical system about 18 months later. If we had gone through the 70s with no idea that the models once saw monsters, this nonsense of chasing models 300 hours out would be considered insane. Some of the "Debs" on here are being realistic. Optimists look at realists as pessimists. The likely fact is: The predominant storm track of this, a La Niña winter will quite likely be the storm track next week's event takes. It's just not "our year." And the storm that likely takes a different path will bring rain.
  2. It will not. Again, I'm not quoting myself. "It will snow where it has snowed." Until something in the atmosphere changes the storm track from MA-eastward, that is where the storm will track.
  3. Can somebody illustrate to me the last time Joe Bastardi was right about a storm?
  4. That run of the Ukie looks like the low is headed just east of the benchmark.
  5. Is this storm overachieving? It's been ripping snow for quite a while.
  6. It angers me that we discuss AI at all. Why don't we just roll over and spread our cheeks apart for the AI?
  7. Good. Lime tractor trailers are shit. Be black or white or be nothing at all.
  8. I say we skip the strongly-worded letter and go straight to beating him with a lock in a sock.
  9. Quite frankly, again, neither York nor Lancaster should be covered by State College. Give Lancaster to Mt Holly. York to Sterling.
  10. I think we picked up just about an inch and a half last night from the snow showers. My yard currently is a layer of snow, a layer of sleet, a layer of freezing rain, and a layer of snow. It's nice.
  11. Maybe he deserves worse lol Kidding aside. Feel better, Jns
  12. Looks like flood watches being hoisted for Pittsburgh.
  13. I also missed Blizz saying he wasn't going to post to avoid feeding into it. So that makes sense.
  14. Going to assume the lack of posting overnight is a signal that Ruin, while annoying, may be correct. Again.
  15. D9 AA in Brockway. Because Clearfield would be the only AAAA school in D6, they went to D9 along with du Bois, who would be only the second AAAAA school in the district. For some reason ,du Bois Central Catholic and Curwensville went D9 as well. Curwensville in particular is a member of the Inter County Conference, which is D5 and D6 and it blows my mind why they would be in D9 meaning districts get to be in Brockway and you get the random road trip to Oswayo Valley or Sheffield or Bradford or Port Allegany. In the same season they could travel for an away meet to Windber (Johnstown) on Tuesday and an away meet in Bradford (NY border) on Thursday and the Athletic Director doesn't bat an eye at that scheduling. It's dumb as shit.
  16. I need the weekend storm to be a nothingburger up this way. Districts is Saturday and driving to Brockway in snow and ice sounds like a date worse than death.
  17. I'd kill for a 90 degree day. Just drove the tyke down to his grandmother's in Orbisonia. Roads are fine about two inches down that way. Up here it's just so damned fn cold. I am over the cold.
  18. May have been three flakes up this way. Still waiting for this "great pattern" to disspell storms going where storms go.
  19. So we've punted on this week and are now working on *checks notes* 10 days from now? It's over. Edit: Nevermind.
