Max Velocity is a degreed meteorologist. Ryan Hall went to Mississippi State for meteorology but didn't graduate, worked in TV weather, and presents weather along with a very, very good met in Andy Hill. There is very little wrong with what these two do.

Brad Sweitzer, Sr., is the guy who runs the organization. He's best known for defrauding a Northwest Savings Bank and Loan out of $5600 before heading to North Carolina to chase a hurricane. The bank cried "fraud," and called the opps. Sweitzer cried "bounced cheque," and he ended up doing three years probation for it. They ban people who call them out on social media or disagree. Apparently yesterday's "People who are living and well reading this will die tomorrow," headline was so incendiary that they edited the post but did not backtrack from the headline because "it is true." It looks like in some parts of the area, a Winter Weather Advisory is more likely to be issued than a Severe Thunderstorm Warning, and if that happens, I plan to send a screenshot of the headline to every company they do business with along with a link to State College NWS as a direct to an actual authority.

I got banned for calling them out on their FB account. I genuinely think there needs to be some punitive action taken for such nonsense. I know that grays the first amendment, but scaring the shit out of a quarter of a million people and then asking for money shouldn't be protected.

What is going on?

Setting aside the fact that apparently we're all going to die tomorrow, there are some parts of the SC region that can not really afford any wind. There are a lot of trees down in parts of Huntingdon, Franklin, Fulton, and Bedford counties from Friday's wind. A lot more trees that probably won't survive the next wind event.

There needs to be consequences for this kind of lunacy. Their social media accounts should be permanently suspended and a ban on any new accounts with the same or similar language instituted.

It's like a bomb went off with all the downed trees. This may be the worst wind I have ever experienced.

Holy hell, Torcon 3 for this area tomorrow.

My kid's birthday party is today otherwise we'd be at the closest playground.

It's going to be 60°F and sunny today. Winter can suck my entire ass.

I am ready to call it a winter. I'll grade it a B. It was winter, temps wise. I don't believe we torched once after Thanksgiving and I'll consider next week's blow torching the announcement of Spring. Had some pretty significant cold. Temps get an A. Precip gets a C. Being in the valley, I believe we have fallen short of everybody around, mostly due to a very, very dry December and early January. Really, really want a strong severe thunderstorm season and none of this "40 and rain" until June nonsense.

It's coming. Just a few more weeks. Hopefully we get a boiler of a spring.

And hopefully hail and severe thunderstorms.
