  1. Speaking of warnings. I have that tingle shit happen that they reference for ASMR, and as such, I use various forms of such to fall asleep and stay asleep. One night in the middle of the night (redundant, I am aware), after awaking to spill some urine, I was scrolling through suggestions. I encountered a video on the YouTube called "You're Sleeping During the Outbreak of WW3." Some saint on Earth put rain overlaps over an EAS alert about nuclear holocausts and I've been sleeping to it for the past five nights.

I am ready for a severe weather outbreak. Hopefully soon.

  2. Dumbing it down for the masses...
The NWS Flagstaff put this graphic out on Facebook, in advance of the upcoming storm, to explain the difference between a watch and a warning.

I alert my toilet every time there is a Taco Warning.

  3. I'm sure the hype machine will get cranking soon but here's a few details regarding the upcoming total solar eclipse:
    - Monday, April 8th.  Starts approximately 2:00 PM, maximum around 3:20, done around 4:30.
    - Several counties in northwest PA will experience totality lasting around 4 minutes.
     - Nearly all the rest of PA will reach over 90% with increasing coverage as one travels southeast to northwest.
    - The next total eclipse anywhere in PA will be in 2144.
Fingers crossed regarding cloud cover.  Unfortunately Accuweather's 90 day forecast shows rain on the 8th so I guess we're whamboozled.  But at least Memorial Day looks nice.

I'm heading to Presque Isle for this.

  4. My high gust at home today is 32.4mph and most of the ASOS and RWIS around here (KAOO, KJST, etc have had max gusts in the 45mph range so far.

How about now? I feel like I could articulate a plastic bag, jump, and be at your place in about three minutes with this wind.

  5. It has been a dump for a long time but it is part of many people's memories of growing up.  On the way down it is a relief when you pass....a marker that means you are getting closer.  I remember riding carnival rides there as a kid. But as someone else said the hotel was terrible.   That woman was just looking for the sausage Pedro promised her.
I never got there before midnight so for us it was always a stretch the legs, take a piss, look around before getting back on the road. Even in the early 90s it was a hole.

  6. Stopped ther many years ago it was a dump. Went to take a piss. This older back women came in when there were about 6 men taking a piss. She had a hand held sprayer spraying some sort of deodorizer or chemical on the urinals and toilet seats. While we were all urinating! I figured WTF!
    That LaShonda.

  7. They used to have a "room" there called The Dirty Old Man shop but think it is closed now.  It was everything you would expect for a back room at South of the Border.  LOL
I met a Thai hooker in that room once on Valentine's Day. It went just how you would suspect it wood.

Pedro signs hundreds of miles away on 95 are now upstaged by the Buc-ee's sign in Morgantown on the turnpike.

  10. They hoist flood warnings yet? It is absolutely pouring. Checking some of the swimmin holes where I grew up, the Aughwick in Shirleysburg and the Juniata in Huntingdon are expected to crest close to or just over flood stage.
