Why are you trying to save this dope money? Take the UberX, get some strange, and then have a damn burger. He's offering his money, take it.

You'll have to forgive me if I'm having a hard time buying a storm missing us low and inside in early December. That just seems opposite of anything that has ever happened here.
I feel like when we get weekend storms, the model tide turns on Wednesday. Let's see what happens.

Gonna be interesting to see if that happens season-long. I'm going to be at the Macy's Day parade too. I've been asked to serve as a float.

So, WGAL just posted something on Facebook about a fresh batch of Arctic air coming and that Thursday and Friday next week may not leave the twenties. Is that a new development? I was under the impression that we were to get pretty warm around that time?
Reason I am asking is: A few winters ago, I believe it was 2013/14, it seemed like the cold and snow arrived in November (albeit not this early) and every time a warm-up was showing on guidance, it never really happened. I wonder if that is where we are headed.

8.8" storm total for MDT.
I know we shouldn't give mets any issue with this system but man did they miss it. Understandably so, but damn.
Steven DiMartino and Henry Margusity nailed it. I think they came out of this one looking pretty good.

A WGAL news reporter is on Facebook Live right now getting a police escort after being enough route to 83 for over 4 hours. What a colossal failure today was for our PennDOT folks.

It’s my son who’s the attendant. We’re currently flying back from palm beach to Atlanta. I’m the eye doctor (now retired).
Aye, Doctor. Heh. I slay me.

Hi all. I’m reporting in from 35,000 feet where the outdoor temp is a brisk -53F. I don’t know the wind chill for 550mph and this temp.
as for Carlisle my wife reports between 8.8” and 9.0” before sleet. She reports heavy sleet now. What a day and night. I feel for all of you who had to deal with the negative side of the event...the traffic nightmares!! Stay safe all.
I forgot you were an airline attendant. For a second, I thought you were **** posting from Everest.

Elizabethtown buses all returned to their schools and they are asking parents, guardians, emergency contacts to come “reunify” with their children.
. ProNo. That cannot be real. Tell me they're not sending hundreds of people out into this mess to make things worse.

I have received a text message, email, and phone call from my employer telling me to call the employee line at 530 am before heading in tomorrow.
Spoiler Alert: Not happening.
My dog is currently hanging out waiting for a squirrel or a rat to come down a drain pipe, where it will meet an abrupt, yet hilarious end. If I sit here in the rain all night and become hypothermic, then god's will be done. Go get em, Pluto.

Any confirmation that the issue on 309 is related to an episode of Storage Wars?

6.5" so far here. Still snowing, but not as hard. The worst part is it's total gridlock on the roads. Every major hill here around Tamaqua is shut down.
And to think, you seemed concerned about busting low lol.

There's a Mecca joke in there somewhere. I should move to the banter/butthurt thread.

Was it lack of preparation or people not taking the weather people seriously?
Show of hands: Who read, this week, on various Facebook pages "It won't lay, the ground is too warm." We have incredible minds like All weather and MAG and Millville and everyone here that provide information to people in as clear and concise a manner as possible and half of the responses are:
1) Boooo [angry emoticon]
And the other half are
2) The ground is too warm.
I understand that it seems like I'm trying to die on this hill, but damnit, why is seven inches of snow causing this to happen? It's not like we forgot how to Pennsylvania. It snows every single year. All the time. This is not a product of lack of knowledge/practice. This is a product of people and entities not wanting to listen.
And with that, I'll shut up.

There are going to be a lot of people sleeping in cars around Harrisburg tonight.
Holy F what a disaster. I can’t remember traffic this bad.
This is what happens when NOBODY takes the weatherman seriously. The only thing that will get companies to begin closing up and/or making their staff work from home (assuming they can) when this **** happens is a ****load of people dying as a result of their obligation to show up.
Unless this is a series of Ambulances stranded on the road, nobody really needed to be out in this.

The winter of 2012/13 started November 12th and ended sometime in March. We're due.

I gave your wife a pass with this setup. High. #HIYO

I just called CTP because I was confused and thought the same thing. They told me that when it comes to WSWarnings, there's a gray area with a mix of snow/ice where they can use their discretion to issue a Warnings or Advisory regardless of what the hard-lined all snow vs. all ice scenario criteria say. Their discretion in this case is factoring in that Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, and Perry counties are more traveled than other counties. So while the amounts will be slightly higher than Advisory levels, the higher population and timing is being factored because it'll be more impactful.
Oh, and hey guys! Winter is BACK!
Nice video on the FB, son.

Not sure they are allowed to do that. Criteria is criteria.
And who, exactly, is going to enforce that? Lol
