Non storm related, but somebody needs to tell our boy at WGAL that he needs to find out who in their office is posting Thanksgiving recipes online in January and ask them how much they've had to drink.

I heard such things from somebody this evening, though didn't hear where it came from. I can at least confirm someone with a TV camera and/or social media must have been slinging out clown maps.
I found out what the deal was. It was Murgo on Facebook showing a graph of the GFS and Euro in agreement last night. Apparently it scared the natives.

You people need to slow down.

If Horst is right, you can probably cut those numbers into thirds lol

has anyone seen the news at noon? I've had 2 people tell that 21 and 27 both said 30" storm this weekend. I don't believe that either station said that.
My buddy told me that WTAJ in Altoona addressed both the GFS and EURO last night saying agreement on 20". MAG may be able to confirm that.

Lol. Of course you can call me Nut. Everyone else does
No. He doesn't get to. He's the only one because he asked. We don't ask for things around here, we take them. He gets to call you Steve Anus.

Unlike the rest of you bums, I have to work. I'm missing a lot of this. Somebody brief me: where do we stand currently?
First person to answer with "on your feet" ends up in the Susquehanna.

Would 15 other people want to chime in to tell me I was wrong?
Why should we tell you what you already know?

If there's one lot who know precision; it's Germany. That and lists. Very good with lists.

I'll go down and whip those puppies into shape. Or they'll have me banned like they did the AccuWeather forums.

Sunday 1/13 @ 5:30PM | Sunshine and seasonably cool weather are expected for a majority of the upcoming work week. A few lake effect snow showers are possible Wednesday. Another round of snow could bring 1-3" across much of the region Thursday night-Friday morning. For the weekend, confidence is moderate to high for a significant precip event, but low to moderate for the timing and precipitation type/amounts. If you have travel plans next weekend, keep any eye on the forecast! We will continue to keep you up to date on the latest forecast developments! #PAwx

The mammoth model guidances a week out have a weird knack for verifying. I remember the 2017 storm, eviscerating a local Met on social media (not our local Met) for posting a run of the Euro a week out that showed 36 inches of snow in MDT. I went off saying that was like yelling "Fire" in a theatre a week out. I was wrong.
2010 storms also had mammoth runs verify a week out. It's happened enough to take seriously.

Can we just not have the brutal cold that's coming? I don't like it when the air hurts my face

Oh, and yeah. It snowed. And that's the weather. After the break, we'll all laugh at the Cowboys.

Watching meet the press.
Tune in next week when I smack Chuck Todd with the skeletal remains of Tim Russert and then walk about the town smacking any member of government with a giant fish.
I'll be dressed as Gritty.

I told you on Tuesday that I was willing this mother****er north. Calm down.

It's damn cold out up here. If we can get just enough moisture, the central counties could eeak out a winner here.

So, I am currently in Huntingdon, and it is gorgeous. Freezing, but gorgeous.

I'm thinking about heading up to the lake this afternoon to see how things look up that way. It may be a bit north of the best action, but trending makes it seem like it may be right in the thick. We'll see.

We have to be in Philly at noon Sunday so honestly I'm a bit glad this will be a non-event for the most part.
*We* don't have to be ANYWHERE. This isn't Russia (yet). You don't have to do anything.

Horst is right: If there's no block, there's nothing to keep the warm from rushing in and washing it all away.
