  1. Peel off the band aid in one quick motion
  2. Beefy rolling thunder. I really wish it wouldn’t rain again for a bit
  3. Oktoberfest is underway in Europe apparently
  4. Is this what you mid Atlantic folks experience most years?
  5. 69F attm after a low of 64. Tickling the low 80s today.
  6. You could always move to a cane prone area. Just won’t be able to get insurance
  7. Parts of Leominster lost power around 2 and were still out. A pretty decent storm rolled through and took out trees
  8. Was at work in Leominster when that rolled through around 2:15-2:45. What a light show. I was in our library which has huge windows and we are on a hill facing east. Strobe after strobe.
  9. As long as they are the only ones to get rain
  10. I was watching the lightning from Gardner even though it was west of you still.
  11. Yeah. Worcester is closing shop early today and tomorrow. Quabbin today. Loweel is closing all day today and tomorrow. That one sucks because they will still need to be made up. In a lot of cases, the kids are going home to environments that are even warmer.
  12. 85 at home, HI of 94 89 at KFIT with a HI of 94 as well My school is a sauna... My classroom is at 82 right now... prob won't go up a lot, but the rooms across the hall were 87 when we started today. Dews are probably 70-72 in here.
  13. A little cooler here today than yesterday at this time (66 vs 67.5)
  14. I just really detest humidity. Give me desert or cold.
  15. We used more kilowatt hours than last year for sure. Yes the rates are higher than a year ago as well. I think last summer was our previous highest use age as well since that was our first with the dehumidifier. Between the window units, the basement unit, and the pool filter for a few hours per day, I’m using way more power than before. This past winter was expensive but mostly due to the high rates.
  16. We did use the ACs less than in July, but still used it more than typical. We do get some water in the basement when we get heavy rain. And 30” this summer kept the unit busy for sure.
  17. I am a bit shocked at those figures. I guess I don’t know how CDD are calculated. Do they take humidity into account? We ran our ACs a ton this summer due to the humidity. Plus a dehumidifier in the basement that has run almost 24/7 all summer
  18. July/August was my most $$$ electric bill ever. Dews
  19. I did find it odd that we went JJA without any big high temp stretches. That seems uncommon. A day of 90 here and there. The high minimums really drove the tenor of the season. Due to dews of course
