At the camp I work at part time during the summer, they have a ton of guest speakers. I was eating lunch with them yesterday and the speaker was a current Boston PD cop who had attended the camp back in the mid 1980s. He was telling the kids how they dug the current swimming pool out by hand. The current crop of kids come with USB fans and still complain.

I’ve been in the pool a ton this summer. So much better than last year. For this month, my wife and I do tutoring at a local camp here in town. The campers (kids) were really not loving the humidity. They are all athletes and run 7 miles every morning. But by the time camp ended (yesterday for us) they had wilted.

This summer (despite the humidity and bugs) has been much better than last summer’s rainy nastiness.
