  1. It’s not like it is a deep winter birthday. Hopefully you live long enough that it happens.
  2. He tweeted that this morning. Haven’t seen an update
  3. Looks like we got a few hundredths of an inch of rain last night
  4. It’s been a pretty low humidity autumn so maybe that is helping elevated areas get cooler? Just spitballing
  5. ORH temps seem to follow mine pretty closely, maybe a degree or two warmer some days. Similar elevation. I know they don’t radiate well though so maybe their lows on rad days are too low?
  6. I wouldn’t buy anything for a week or so. But my hunch is Slightly AN for the week around Halloween.
  7. 32F here for my low. We got colder two weeks ago for two straight mornings. But good for the bugs I hate
  8. As of last night, 95% of the town of Petersham, MA still had no power. Any thoughts as to why the town’s NW of ORH got hit pretty hard? Elevation? Just the amount of trees? Orange, Athol, Royalston, Barre, Hubbardston etc The airports didn’t seem overly windy Orange had one gust of 49mph
  9. Can’t even get my road to be decent never mind burying cables. Strange thing is that the part of my road that is a disaster has buried cables. Lol
  10. That is nutso. Since our 2008 ice storm, I have lost power 1 time for about 14 hours (after a lightning strike). One other for a few hours from a transformer blowing and maybe a few brief outages due to cars into poles etc. Considering the wooded area I am in and the decent winds/snow/ice I am a bit surprised. As a kid, we only lost power a few times that I recall. Blizzard of 1978 and Gloria are all that come to mind.
  11. And the wife has no school again Friday. Jeez Louise. Hasn’t even snowed yet
  12. It’s just so random. A ton of people I know have trees and stuff down. Big trees. But I saw nada. Just drove back from Hardwick. Just leaves and twigs. But saw parts that had no power.
  13. I kid but am bummed that I slept through it all. My wife was pretty stressed about it at 2:30AM. She said it was pretty intense. I saw that thing about the tsunami. Neat feature
  14. So weird that many in my hood had trees and power lines down but in my travels through Hubbardston Gardner Westminster Barre Hardwick Princeton Fitchburg and Leominster today I saw nothing. Lots of micro vortices maybe?
  15. Oh I’m fine. We never lost power. But the affected folks in my town and adjoining ones are being told that by Nat Grid. Lots of trees and lines down.
  16. Electricity possibly out until Saturday night in my area. I think that is just a CYA move by National Grid.
