    That’s nuts you have lost it so many times. In that case I understand. Since the 2008 ice storm(5 days) I have lost it one time due to a July lightning strike (less than one day) I have considered a portable but so far it has not been needed.

    My brother in Foxboro lost it for 5-7 days during 2 events. I think one was Sandy and maybe the October snowstorm?

    If you are without power for more than two days, just book a nice hotel or an air b n b. Much cheaper. I don’t get the generator thing.
