  1. One benefit of the “cool” shot has been no black flies while we have walked our dog. Typically they are awful in early May Our trees are still mostly leafless too. Weird
  2. Actually May 14 2019 was a -16 at ORH Going back to 2015 I could find some -11 or -12 type days in May. But nothing close to a -19 other than the one listed above
  3. It was a comment directed more at Cranky He didn’t think the cold was all that impressive.
  4. Yesterday was a pedestrian-19F at ORH Happens every year We walked the dog 2 miles this morning. It was 36F and when we came around the corner, there is an opening in the hills where you used to be able to see Monadnock (house and bigger trees block it a bit now). The wind was nuts. Felt like Mabruary
  5. My son did the other day ( mostly to clear room in his closet). I tried to tell him
  6. If I get thundersnow in May I will be satisfied with this season
  7. What the heck are you eating? Today was around $260 and I bought some fancy Mickey Bars.
  8. If snow covers the lawn for a couple of days and then melts, once you see it again it has grown two days longer?
  9. Some decent squalls and graupel should come through in a bit So nasty out despite May sun
  10. Got 10 days worth of groceries for 5 (4 adults 1 teen) by 8:30. No lines. No muss. No fuss. Nice squall when I came out. The wind is strong
  11. That’s harsh. May accumulating snow here seems to happen every 15-20 years.
  12. If I see a D when I wake up tomorrow I call that a win.
  13. I am just a couple of miles from the Templeton border. My unclear memory is 3" here. That is the latest I have ever seen accumulating snow. I doubt I have pics from then,
  14. Nice little anecdote about the 2002 event (does not mention the timing) From the Worcester Telegram On May 18, 2002, northern Worcester County saw a small amount of heavy, wet snow. The only official National Weather Service report of that storm was from Ashburnham, where a weather spotter recorded 2.5 inches. There was an unofficial report of 4 inches in Templeton, and heavy snow collapsed tents at the Henshaw Farm - where 20 Confederate and 40 Union Civil War re-enactors fought the battle of the day with snowballs.
  15. I thought it was snowing during the evening as well.
  16. Yeah. Cold rain for many. Some folks might get a coating to an inch. A very few might get 2"
  17. Any sign of Chris (OceanStWx). He hasn’t posted in a while.
  18. Thundersnow in Mayuary would be neat
  19. I'm leaning on nothing accumulating in most of SNE... but interesting I guess. Someone might get 1-2" It happens now and then
  20. We had 22" in that with no branches or trees down. But it was pure powder
