  1. They have been worse than the Sox lately. Lots of injuries and bad managing
  2. Anyhoo...the New England states really seem to have done a good job squashing it. I really hope I can get my students in front of me physically sooner rather than later.
  3. KFIT hit 87F today Torch KORH got to 81F... meh Weds looks similar.
  4. I think the concern at Sturgis was the bars...indoors, no masks, no distancing. I don't think the outdoor stuff there was a big spreader (my opinion only) It will take a long time to determine whether this really had a big impact. I think some to be sure, but I doubt the 250,000 or so these guys are attributing to it.
  5. Yeah. I’m very skeptical of that study. I’m sure it’s tentacles are reaching pretty deeply but some of the figures I’ve read seem high But then again, the Biogen conference with just 150 or so people is thought to have lead to 20k cases. A much longer time period
  6. Car thermo read 91F on the baked tarmac of Rte 2 near the KFIT airport. 80.1F here
  7. 85F at KFIt near work. 80F at home Warm but meh Prob +6 or +7 vs climo at home (using ORH as a reference for average). 61F was my low... 81 will prob be my high
  8. We try not to let our dog in the woods too much (she did hike up the hill with us yesterday though). We haven't seen much tick activity so far. Dry summers will help with that I guess. There should be an uptick (no pun intended) as we get into cooler and damper months. I hate ticks. I don't remember them being as big an issue when I was a kid, although Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever existed and a family member got Lyme in the early 1980s
  9. I am fine with my lawn. This was last week. Little effort put in and it shows Not the deep greens of Blizz’s but full sun with a dog I mow it when I get scolded by the wife and fertilize whenever Maybe every couple of years I throw down some Agway stuff
  10. What was up with 1975(I think) at ORH? Was there a big volcano or something?
  11. Toughest year of my professional life coming up. The emails from parents are already flying and we haven’t even started yet... Anyway, today was a great day to spend outdoors. Hiked the local bump, then took a final plunge into the pool. Maybe one next weekend...68F pool temp
  12. Great day for a hike up Wachusett. Summit was about as crowded as I’ve ever seen it though.
  13. If anyone is considering a Wachusett season pass and wants to save a few bucks, send me a message. I have a GPS group.
  14. If you are working under the table and something bad happens to the kid you are fooked. No protection
  15. Yeah but then you are open for things like lawsuits etc. the $2200 would pay for insurance and lawyers etc as well Thats still nuts.
  16. Our burning bushes are starting to turn red
  17. Gather ye Rose-buds while ye may, Old Time is still a-flying: And this same flower that smiles to day, To morrow will be dying. The glorious Lamp of Heaven, the Sun, The higher he's a getting; The sooner will his Race be run, And neerer he's to Setting. That Age is best, which is the first, When Youth and Blood are warmer; But being spent, the worse, and worst Times, still succeed the former. Then be not coy, but use your time; And while ye may, go marry: For having lost but once your prime, You may forever tarry.
  18. Last night into this morning were pretty gross. Ran the AC at home. In my classroom the floor is slippery
  19. Only around 0.15” here today. Just a damp misty day with some showers. 66.7F high. Furnace
