  1. GFS really likes eastern areas for a bunch of snow. North of Pike might not even be in the equation for this one
  2. Hey, another mixed bag could make another mess for some, especially…North of the Pike!!!
  3. Lots of delayed openings around here. My district had a professional development day anyway so no kids. I will be out sick anyway (ski fever maybe)
  4. Would not be surprised at delays. It’s pretty nasty out
  5. 4” here. Much lighter. Smaller needles and such.
  6. 2.25” Moderate to heavy rates. Roads are a mess here in the Gardner/Hubbardston area.
  7. You must be at home... very meh here in Leominster
  8. They have cancelled after school activities here, which makes more sense... no need to make most of that up... things can be rescheduled. But it won't be a big deal for most.
  9. 10. In a lot of cases, yeah. I think the only holiday that has been added is Juneteenth, which is at an annoying time of year, but it is what it is... Right now, my students have to come back for a half day on Monday the 22nd... ugh
  11. They do towards the last week of June... unless it is too hot... or too smokey from wildfires... or it the day ends in a "y"...
  12. If that could just hold off until Friday of that week or so...
  13. CT schools closed due to this? Seems like it won't be an issue until mid afternoon...
  14. Mixed bag. Snow to ice to plain rain Further north = more frozen. Further east = less frozen
  15. She sent me some videos from during the storm last week (they got very little)... but everything was all frozen. For my middle school science classes, the next unit I teach uses maple sap as its opening phenomenon. So I will get to add her stuff to what I use
  16. Our daughter is taking a seminar style class at her college about maple sugaring and its economic impact in S VT. They have their own sugarbush and evaporator shack. Pretty neat
  17. NAM doesn't give us much plain rain here... same with some of the other mesos. Will be gross, but a net gain for a few hours before the warmth moves in. Probably 1-2 inches, spot 3 in central Mass
  18. Back to weather... started a thread for Tuesday/Wednesday
  19. Models suggest 1-3" of snow, sleet, ZR before transitioning to all rain for south of the MA -VT/NH border
  20. Yeah... some definite warmth heading here. Not sure I get 70s (even 60s?) but a bunch of 50s and some rain. Ah well. Should make my road even more special. Frost heaves potholes will be epic
