  1. There is a nasty cold going around this area. Both of my kids have had it in the past two weeks. Both kids chose in their own to wear masks when in public/stores/at work for a few days. It was sorta weird. Neither my wife nor I got it. I had a minor cold a few weeks back but not like what they had.
  2. I saw my first rabbit of the year on our dog loop today. Last year there were tons Fewer chipmunks as well but we seem to have a hawk nesting in the woods behind our house now. Lol
  3. Just bought a cordless electric mower. EGO something or other. Game changer. So quiet and smooth. Cut extremely well compared to mowers I’ve owned in the past. Spare batteries are insanely expensive though. Like $250. I should be able to mow my entire yard with one though. Folds and stands up to store. Hardly takes any space.
  4. That one near Framingham might be the best bet
  5. Glad to be missing these since I am grilling. Little hook on the one near KFIT
  6. The hotel in S Maine we stayed at a couple of weeks ago still required them in common areas but few were following the rule including employees
  7. Saw a video from Salem MA showing intense winds.
  8. Not the IMGUR one. Your tweet had sound though.
  9. My sister in Burrilville RI sent me a video showing strong winds. No damage though
  10. A retired coworker of mine would say a tinker’s doodle which sounds dirty when you say it. Lol
  11. I woke up around 2 AM (bladder patrol. Lol). Saw some lightning. Heard distant thunder. Checked RadarScope. Stayed up for it. Back to sleep around 3
  12. Speaking of cheesy sci fi, if anyone wants to rot their brain for 2.5 hours, watch Tomorrow War on Amazon. So bad it’s good. And They Live is awesome
  13. I need to make a correction regarding my previous post. Based on the head of DESE (the state Ed board) Riley and the governor, no statewide mask mandates will be required for schools in the fall regardless of age. They are allowing local boards to require them if they wish (which prob none will. Except maybe Somerville)
  14. Here in Mass they have already announced kids 12 and up will not need to mask. Hopefully the same will be announced for younger kids soon. edit. I’m wrong. See later post
  15. At this point the US is averaging around 165 deaths per day (7 day avg) which works out to around 60k per year. So a bad flu season. But it is declining The folks who have not been vaccinated in most cases will continue to refuse based on recent surveys. This will fade into the background in most places here in the US. Things are for the most part back to “normal”. The vaccines have been highly successful in squashing this insidious illness.
