  1. Coldest I saw was next to a glacial lagoon…7C on the car thermo, so 45F. Warmest was 20 or 22 C so 72ish. Some parts of the country were seeing 25C while we were there. We packed for 50s
  2. Their baked goods are certainly better. We went to a diner in Orange for breakfast today. It was ok but I was missing some Icelandic croissants. Our coffee is better.
  3. 88F high here. Nice warm day. Pleasant in the pool.
  4. Any way to add the menu thingy at the bottom of the screen for mobile users? It use to do that before the "upgrade"
  5. Deer flies were def biting this morning. They are usually done by now
  6. I think you might be right. It was sort of odd. Yesterday was still pretty damned HHH
  7. Heat index here maxed at 106 in late June. 101 here yesterday.
  8. I had a legit heatwave in June. Won’t even crack 90 here for one day. His results may differ
  9. I was out there for hours yesterday. June was hotter. No cap
  10. Maxed at 89 yesterday. June heat > August heat. Still nice for the pool though
  11. Portland Jetport had a record high dew today. 78F. Hard to dew
  12. We came back Tuesday evening. We were there for 6 nights
  13. Some nice 10-12% imperials out there
  14. There are thermal rivers too... didn't see any of those or any of the small, semi secret bathing pools, but there are a bunch that locals go to. It's a big part of the culture there. Almost no one has their own swimming pool but pretty much every town has a big, geothermally heated public pool with slides etc. I thought that was funny. Regarding swimming in the ocean, numerous signs for "sneaker waves" that drag people out now and then. Different than rip tides I guess.
  15. Missed the second question. Lots of natural hot springs. Some have been turned into pools. The big one called Blue Lagoon is actually man made Parts of the country have pockets of thermal activity right near the surface so lots of steam vents. We also went to a geyser (at a spot called Geysir which is where the name comes from. ).
  16. Based on this site https://www.seatemperatu.re/europe/iceland/vestmannaeyjar-vestmann-island/ it is around 56F right now. Depends on a bunch of factors.
