    Managed another 92 here (92.3) so a heat wave. Second of the season. Rare I get those here.

    Back to our ongoing “Hawk talk”, this guy has been hanging out on the edge of our pool and on our basketball hoop. Young red tail? He/she is loud.

    Lawns (while I love a nice, lush, green one) are not great as far as maintaining a minimal environmental impact. They soak up a ton of water and don’t keep things as cool as native species. that being said, a stressed lawn is more susceptible to disease, etc. rain would certainly help. Dry July for sure.

    Same here (temp wise). Was a bit lower yesterday (63).

    Anything is possible. It is a logarithmic scale. An 8.0 is 10 times more powerful than a 7.0.

    First week or so will be close to average methinks. Then it heats right back up.

    Yep. Possible. But my thinking is that we are moving past the big heat. Of course I also thought I wouldn’t get to 90 again this week….

    After a bit of a dew-down, humidity will be back! 90s will of course be harder to get.

    Another 91 here. Prob eclipse that tomorrow. I wrongly thought 90s here this month were done. Wednesday might be out of reach though.

    I think I knocked out the basketball sized nest under our pool deck. Took a few cans. They didn’t seem as aggressive as they will be in a month
