    You know we have had a bad season when we are looking at individual members of the EPS.

    A condition that exists when a relatively warm, less dense air mass moves up and over a cooler, denser air mass on the surface. The result is usually low clouds, fog and steady, light precipitation. Basically means that we have cold weather at the surface with warm air moving in aloft... as long as we can keep the atmosphere cold enough... it will produce snow.

    GFS say no to anyone north of the VA/NC line. I guess a 1034 High over North Va will do that to a storm.

    I dont know... The Old GFS has been pretty locked in since Dec 2 6z.

    Why... it would stop the posting of "it is getting squashed"... to only have the same person 3 post later saying... "well maybe not"... or someone saying "this is going to be bad" but if they actually know what they are looking at, would know better.

    We would still be watching this storm if the surface low was in Jacksonville moving southeast.

    Yeah I think the FV3 broke... it stopped after hour 144 on the 12z run. Maybe NCEP is embarrassed by it...

    I am glad the FV3 made it to hour 144... could you imagine what would happened if it died at hour 114
