January finished with 42.75" of Snow here in Wolf Laurel (Yancey County) elev. 4360'. That number is likely low due to high wind during the three larger events. 1/2: 11" 1/6-7: 1" 1/14: 1" 1/15-18: 21.5" 1/28-29: 8.25" Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
I finished January with a snow total of 42.75". That's only .25" less than I received for the entire winter of 2019-2020. It was also the snowiest month I've had since moving here in 2017 (2nd snowiest was March 2018 with 30.5") What a turnaround from December! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Had a low of 8 around 9pm. The temp has been rising since then to 22 currently. Didn't expect that with the snowpack. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Well today was not a good day for my brake booster to fail. I feel like a popsicle right now. Currently down to 19 in Wolf with almost 2" of snow already. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Friday is still looking good for at least a few inches of snow along the border no matter what model you look at. I'm hoping for a good ski day! Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
Waking up to 14° and flurries in Wolf. Looks like I finished around 21.5". This is by far the longest duration I've ever seen snow falling continuously! (64 hours now) Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
The door's open! Thanks for the compliment. Yeah, I think I do live in a great upslope spot. I'm less than a mile from the TN life right along the spine of the Apps. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
17° with moderate snow still falling. What a day! I'm around 18" for the storm total now, and if that wasn't enough I got to watch some rutting in the backyard a while ago. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
What a NWF event! This was at noon that I measured. I'm probably close to 16" total for the storm and about 10" from the upslope. Nickel sized flakes have been just pouring all day. Got my driveway cleared for now. About to go up and check out the drifts on Big Bald. Sent from my SM-G970U using Tapatalk
