We kept about a 6 to 8 inch glacier where I was. But my area in northern ORH was much better at CAD than your area so maybe that was the difference.
I lost all but piles, it poured like hell Christmas eve, I remember trudging through quite a bit of snow at my brother in laws Christmas Eve and the next morning we saw grass.

Maybe we can ice up the ponds in the next two weeks.

The 2000s were a bit better at least in ORH. We managed white Christmas in 2000, 2002, 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009....with a near miss in 2003. Had patches leftover in that one from yet another brutal grinch storm. If you had a sheltered yard you may have managed an official white Christmas in 2003.
Didn't we get a Christmas Eve grinch storm in 07 that wiped out over 20 inches?

This storm sucks. Lol. We literally had about five minutes of sleet today and that has been it.
It's early, it's mostly north of us now but moving in from the west.

I keep getting some flakes but the the sky brightens and stops.

wife got me this for Christmas. I’ve already purchased a mounting pole. Plan to put it on the roof of my shed… so it’ll be ~15 or so feet off the ground.
Hope to be up and running before the new year
Where did you get the mounting pole? I need one for mine

Winter golf is a young man's game. When it becomes temporary tees and Greens I'll pass.
You're right, back then I was younger, don't think I'd do it this year.

Too bad we couldn't drop omega, forky and torch tiger on a remote island with no internet....they could just fantasize amongst themselves staring at the sun all day long...maybe add snowman21 to the mix.
Why can't we, there's enough of us here to overpower them

If there’s enough for me to legitimately use my new snowblower, I’ll be totally psyched.
I bought mine after the Dec storm last year and still haven't used it.

Personally hoping for good weather Christmas Eve and day because I'm driving 200 miles to my sister. Bad weather means staying at home alone.
What do you have for a vehicle?

I want a winter where it snows non stop from December - March.
Is that hard to ask for ?
It's happened but its rare.

There was some big coastal events that winter that helped in some big totals up here, I'm quite sure there were several lt/mod events too, But i was more focused on girls back then then weather............
Nothing better than being with a beautiful lady while its S+ outside, best of both worlds.

I can barely handle driving in Hartford and I could barely handle driving around in Danbury
cities stress me out...worrying about where to turn and if you'll miss it whether you're in the right lane. I prefer the highway
sucked on subsidence all night (and 40's)
Do you take 84 to the Pike?

The analog for 2010-2011 had some real doozy's around here. Wouldnt mind a repeat. As much as I would love snow for xmas, I'd rather have a great run, that means it's starting in January I'll wait and be patient
I'll give up a white Christmas for a 2011 January too.

Jan 11 was a great month, not as good as the 2015 blitz but we built up a pretty good pack that month.
