  1. He is a joke. Just stop pumping him up already. The very southern tip of NJ see 4-6 and you call his forecast as "verifying"? I, too, am LMAO at JB's claiming of victory.
  2. I used to truly respect him and his forecasts, but he has lost all credibility with me. After we see 1 to perhaps 2" with this event and temps soar next week his 10"-15" call for the rest of the season DC-NYC is going to bust miserably. I just don't get it with him anymore.
  3. He is going to look very foolish
  4. 10"-15" DC to NYC rest of season??! He is on crack
  5. It's over. Welcome Spring. Glad to see you
  6. I cant see 3-6" making it anywhere near NYC or even PHL. The onset of precip is being delayed here and the WAA push in the upper levels will increase quickly IMO. Still think 1-2" with a short period of ZR in I95 corridor with perhaps a bit of an extended period in the NW burbs (Paul your area especially and perhaps even by me). "A storm delayed is a storm denied"
  7. It doesn't work like that.... If JB cancels winter, it is truly over.
  8. What? No JB update on his thoughts for this weeks system? LOL
  9. This is JB about 8-10 years ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MkaMzV9KWWA
  10. ....its the only weather youve got
  11. you will all come around. years ago I felt the same way about JB. I even purchased AccuPro to read his blogs and watch his videos (Big Dog,Long Ranger etc), but after years of listening to him I came to the same conclusion of nearly eveyone who has followed him at one point or another.....he is always pushing the big dog, even when it is obviously not there in the slightest.
  12. Nearly all guidance points to this OTS and we are only 78-84 hours out. Next....
  13. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-10-23/wind-energy-cheaper-than-natural-gas-for-xcel-ceo-fowke-says Also, you don't need to spend any money most times to get solar installed on your home. SolarCity offers a home solar PPA model that allows you as the homeowner to enter into a 20 year PPA with SolarCity with a reduced energy rate from your utility and includes no upfront cost for panels (you don't own the system)
  14. Wow, talk about a "fool" if you believe BIG OIL isn't subsidized. Also, renewables in many parts of the country are now CHEAPER than fossil fuels. You need to do some research. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-10-23/wind-energy-cheaper-than-natural-gas-for-xcel-ceo-fowke-says
  15. Posted this in the Renewable energy thread, but figured this thread might have some more thoughts? Ok, ok....anyone care to comment on this little study? Solar (if used at a large scale) changes to climate could be worse at a regional level than the global mean? I am confused as heel now (although I did see they mentioned the reduction in solar energy due to incresed cloudiness due to enhanced hydrolgic cycle of warming (something I mentioned several years ago on this forum). http://www.nature.com/articles/nclimate2843.epdf?referrer_access_token=9UpIos5nbkRkNcJLRAE6Q9RgN0jAjWel9jnR3ZoTv0Mhk46FmRPT6xmGxMzCdDQj_TR4jrCkwdeqZFN1QrXjfHoK87yJZqypLgWpzOmK61DNYfeT2hs3rYl59iPKYONBGn_0izI1woInoyvtFs9WQ5P1OaaNW3cnY-LYYJRk6H_EBuxVUw5DaQ-U00hLlUoY-eiBVldc-UBSKD4nB-IvLSLtcTLfkMV0sfgMClr8tqa1JbmWuKg2lsHfY-urVpePIglAB4wKIlgDhSCjewcgNoYbWqaqj03hRI9BTLmBNLGs9yxMB_s7u9sURFWs3EX1&tracking_referrer=www.washingtonpost.com
