  1. Dryslot from hell. Band should drop from MA toward Northern CT later.
  2. Damn. My house in Simsbury is right on the edge of the dryslot.
  3. I am beginning to think the entire valley north of Hartford is going to cash in.
  4. 11z RAP isn't backing down, either. Looks like mid-level goodies for much of the area. Marginal boundary later issues southeast of 84.
  5. HRRR at 11z is several hours of deform focused over central and northern CT, down to SW CT. Bigger question marks south and east in CT.
  6. East of river is getting porked by the dry slot.
  7. Modeling was pretty obvious regarding the threat of some good valley accums. 7h looked great for more than a few days. It was just a matter of getting the event in the door and seeing what happened.
  8. URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service Boston/Norton MA 812 AM EDT Tue Mar 14 2023 CTZ002-150115- /O.UPG.KBOX.WW.Y.0014.000000T0000Z-230315T1200Z/ /O.EXA.KBOX.WS.W.0004.000000T0000Z-230315T1200Z/ Hartford CT- Including the cities of Hartford and Windsor Locks 812 AM EDT Tue Mar 14 2023 ...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy snow. 9. I just got a notification that they upgraded Hartford County to warming. Not seeing it on BOX site yet.
  10. Didn't really dryslot that long over the west and the radar looks great. Didn't get any warmer either. Still 33F.
  11. Radar is blossoming over CT, and it almost has a convective look to it as it's within/near the dry slot. Home station is sitting at 33F in Simsbury.
  12. Fine with me. I'm at the studio. Blossoming over my head in Rocky Hill.
  13. Seeing local reports of that band flipping locations over to snow down over SW CT.
  14. Radar is filling in, but it's a painstaking process.
  15. You're about to get my dryslot for a bit.
  16. Yeah, I should be able to. I'm out at 12 PM.
  17. HREF latest forecast for additional snowfall.
  18. So close. Some models torch east of river south of pike.
  19. Going to be interesting to see what happens in the next few hours.
  20. Radar is filling in over NW CT and moving east. Maybe I'm delusional, but I think that will be pretty short-lived in far northern CT.
  21. Looking at radar now. If we don't get back into the lift within the hour, I will be shocked. Here is the RAP. One of the least snowy models.
  22. I don't get the skepticism toward the lift. I have seen a signal for banding for multiple days in a row (as the low stacks) I'm at 32F at home. Yesterday not a single model had me below 35F.
  23. Radar fills back pretty quickly according to what I'm seeing now on ALB, OKX. Appears to be clearly pivoting right where it is now. Should fill in and slide back south as morning progresses.
  24. RAP is way too warm. An outlier IMO. It's already wrong near my crib.
