  1. You know it. Majority of setups aren't worth it. This is definitely not one I'm moving for lol.
  2. 13z HRRR is similar to previous runs. It likes western CT, particularly south of 84 to 91/New Haven. Further north it's strong but it's not highlighting that area as much. Storms are largely decaying as they cross CT, marching East. In terms of severe at least.
  3. F winter here. That's a hard grade to earn from me, and this winter got it. This winter had a very difficult, an exhausting character. There were many threats, and many opportunities to cash in, and it never happened. Some portions of elevated Southern New England cashed in nicely. Unfortunately, that's where the least amount of our population lives. Also, some of the mix events were not 50F cutters; but events that were off by just 1F-2F, teasing us with white rain for hours and hours. At the end of the day, these winters are going to happen. This one was just far worse than most below average seasons. The way I look at it, you have to be mentally prepared to strike out. It's a pretty simple part of this game, that many winters will not be all that good. Just remember you are getting a ratter out of the way, and next winter will be better.
  4. Hrrr doesn't look that impressive outside of far western portions of MA and CT. But it should be a widespread strong line of storms. Maybe a few warnings mixed in. Outside chance of a spin up far west.
  5. 6z was tame compared to 0z. But the 12z went a bit stronger again. Timing seems like we clear later now 3/4pm. That's not as good for severe, but it should be watched because of the steep lapse rates. That should help feed any activity.
  6. It was around 1pm on the 0z hrrr. I'm about to look at this morning's.
  7. I do enjoy this weather. It's not boring. Marks the start of a new season. Spring will be great here compared to EMA.
  8. A half inch on cold surfaces in Rocky Hill. Closer to a coating at home in Simsbury. Big black ice accident involving a state police cruiser, and tractor-trailer, on 84 in Cheshire this AM.
  9. Sleet hitting my parents windows in Southie.
  10. Driving through Eastern CT to Providence for a wedding, Rt 44 is a good place to hide a body. Seriously, I'm in Pomfret. It's straight backwoods nothingness
  11. It is honestly shocking how long some areas of S VT, Berks, NY have been snowing. Wow.
  12. Decoy is outstanding for the price. I really enjoy it.
  13. I remember seeing dead body Mitch complaining on Twitter about a lack of snow, more than a few weeks back. Must be tough up there. Prayers.
  14. Just wrong honestly. Like it was wrong when ya said there were no red flags 48 hours ago, and a dry slot was ripping across e CT on modeling. Just like you were wrong when you said the dry slot wouldn't fill in, when everything said it would. Just like you were wrong when you said you wouldn't get hit by these bands. You have to be doing some kind of reverse psychology, or trolling, or drinking a little earlier than me. Enjoy your snow. I'm gonna drink a beer and listen to the gutter empty rainwater and snow melt from 12 hours ago despite the fact there is a 7h band overhead that you said would never come earlier. Hate you! Love you!
  15. This is what happens when you rip and read snow and qpf charts instead of looking at actual things like mid levels/fronto. It was signaled all day. I've been mentioning it for three days. Simply wrong, but I am glad you are snowing and you know it. I also hate you for living at elevation.
  16. The cool thing about Talcott Mountain is that I can watch the snow melt as it falls
  17. Something just changed: we are snowing very hard at low elevation in Simsbury.
