  1. Sun is trying to break through here. I wonder how much more rain we could be looking at.
  2. Smoke has been thick for 48 hours here, but definitely improving now as the sun goes down. Still pretty terrible overall.
  3. I had the same upsetting reaction when I saw what winter it was. Last year was brutal.
  4. I haven't had a chance to look at AQI, but the smoke today is visually just as bad as a few weeks back.
  5. Quite the storm complex over Illinois.
  6. Lol. All the storms fired right when they got past me.
  7. Granville and Russell MA have reports of wind damage after some rotation blew over.
  8. Haha, no opinion here. I was on the couch.
  9. Wowza. Those are absolute monsters over NJ/PA. We like that NE trajectory.
  10. Taking a peek at mesosanalysis, there is still over 1k cape for most of Sne. Ml cape near same. Mid level rates kinda meager near 6.0c imo. Temps aloft appear to be cooling which is helpful. There is also helicity and shear to be had. The humidity should aid things, So there are ingredients for some nighttime action.
  11. Funnel cloud report earlier from emergency manager near Winsted, per nws
  12. Nasty looking stuff brewing down outside NYC.
  13. That's all I want, seriously. A good lightning storm is always very enjoyable. I'd take that and run.
  14. I got halfway and turned around hopefully violence wakes me up overnight.
  15. I think the story for CT will end up being flooding somewhere more likely than not.
  16. Cells pulsing along the Seabreeze boundary, starting to get their act together.
  17. HRRR at 21z targets coastal Connecticut overnight, and area just inland. The entire state gets storms, but the strongest part of the line appears to go just inland and along the sound.
  18. Don't I wish. But traditionally, I have done the best in SNE with elevated convection and mid level instability at night.
  19. Looks like models have a line developing now over Maryland, then it tracks NE from NYC > SNE. Looks like 1am Fairfield county. Through to ORH/PVD 4 am > fizzling near 128 5-6 am. Elevated instability is there for solid storms across interior Sne.
