  1. Storm damage in Farmington Route 4 is closed from Route 179 to River Rd in Farmington due to a tree and power lines down across the road.
  2. That Hartford cell just went severe since my last post. I might drive a few miles down the road to intercept.
  3. There has been a good deal here for whatever reason. But I am only about 1-2 football fields from a large river.
  4. Not much wind or hail or really anything severe close to the surface. I think we just have a deceiving hook unless it can strengthen. Thunder just really started booming here to the NW of the storm.
  5. OK, now that cell is definitely a bit stronger west of Hartford. Rotation trying to get going, but the parameters do not blow me away for a spin up either.
  6. I probably picked up another 0.25 I'd guess. Would put me around 2.25" will check PWS. Well, more than I even thought, 2.40".
  7. A bit tighter now, but still a pretty weak storm overall. Looks to be tracking more east towards West Hartford.
  8. Looks like some small hail might be forming for Avon or Farmington, just to my south.
  9. There is some very weak, broad rotation with this cell to my SW near Burlington.
  10. It is torrentially downpouring again at home. I'm close to the Farmington River, the mosquitos are going to be the size of Volkswagens after this.
  11. Two tornado warnings in that group of storms over PA. Something to watch in hours ahead as things move east. Heavy rain is already organizing over CT again. Looks like were are going well over 2" today.
  12. Sun is trying to break through here. I wonder how much more rain we could be looking at.
  13. Smoke has been thick for 48 hours here, but definitely improving now as the sun goes down. Still pretty terrible overall.
  14. I had the same upsetting reaction when I saw what winter it was. Last year was brutal.
  15. I haven't had a chance to look at AQI, but the smoke today is visually just as bad as a few weeks back.
  16. Quite the storm complex over Illinois.
  17. Lol. All the storms fired right when they got past me.
  18. Granville and Russell MA have reports of wind damage after some rotation blew over.
  19. Haha, no opinion here. I was on the couch.
  20. Wowza. Those are absolute monsters over NJ/PA. We like that NE trajectory.
  21. Taking a peek at mesosanalysis, there is still over 1k cape for most of Sne. Ml cape near same. Mid level rates kinda meager near 6.0c imo. Temps aloft appear to be cooling which is helpful. There is also helicity and shear to be had. The humidity should aid things, So there are ingredients for some nighttime action.
