It's kind of frustrating here was the temp this morning and tomorrow rain.

9 people died in this creek flooding, some people just getting sweep away.

Off Topic but worth posting. Twenty years ago, today (January 19, 1996), Susque's region experienced the worst flooding in the valley's recorded history. Following merely weeks after an incredible blizzard, the valley warmed up to 60 degrees and received an abundance of rain. The snow melted and Lycoming Creek rose to over 22 feet! In fact, it rose above any reliable gauges and scales, so the true crest is unknown. The "Green Bridge" met its demise that day, as well as the abutment of the old train bridge. Here are some pictures taken by those of us at Susque that day. It is certainly awe-inspiring to see the power of those rushing waters. It took only a few seconds between the bridge detaching and then disappearing underwater.

Looks like rain or ice to rain for a lot of us. The storm at the end of the month looks that it could be BIG.

Pretty much everything is froze solid.The water content in the snow is just froze. Currently 1 degree with the windchill. Not one of my favorite storms.

Back to snow...HUGE flakes. The 6" of snow is like paste. 10hp snowblower is struggling. 350' of driveway to clear. Time to go bigger.

Well at 0500 raining 6" 36 degrees not sure how much compaction I have from the rain.

31 degrees here just north of Williamsport. Snow is just starting up. Everything is fueled up and ready to go.

They have been pretty steadfast for the last couple days.

I have about 500' between my house and my Mom's. I have a couple Ariens blowers and a Kioti tractor. I work smarter not harder anymore.

And a bump from NWS.

NS before an event it's always cold...."then rain" And then back cold. This storm is even worse.

That's why I don't ride the models from run to run. Take a look at what they are showing, as they are just a piece of the puzzle. And then form an opinion.
