  1. 29 degrees this morning with snow flurries...very light dusting. NWS showing snow and then a mix tonight into tomorrow morning
  2. They have been cutting that way most of the winter. Let's watch this play out...
  3. Cool sunny morning...snow sticking around overnight.
  4. A few years ago I had about 350lb bear destroy my feeders.
  5. Just puking snow right now, I would say we got over an inch . Been a crazy winter. I will get a few pics after bit. edit: quick shot out the window.
  6. A little snow starting to mix in here...40 degrees.
  7. With precipitation moving back into the area tonight, temps will be important as to whether we get snow, freezing rain, sleet, or rain. Here are the expected low temperatures.
  8. We still have been getting a decent amount of rain. Just not the white stuff. Wonder how it all averages out...
  9. How about that! @NWSStateCollege 5h At 3:30 am: Fun fact...It's currently warmer in Bedford, PA (62F) than it is in Miami, FL (61F). #PAwx Edit: Erie has a 41.9" snow deficit
  10. Winter isn't over yet. But the models are sure getting a workout trying to figure things out. Hit 61 here yesterday. Kept thinking what a nice day...
  11. Never thought of chicken chili...All sounds good, enjoy the game! Some snow showers would be nice.
  12. Snow showers over night. Amounted mostly to a dusting on the cars. Brisket Chili and chicken for the Super Bowl tonight.
  13. I agree with you, other years we usually got some north west movement with these storms. Just wish we could capture some cold for these storms... NWS: The arrival of a positively-tilted trough into the northeast Saturday night through Sunday may be enough to produce a quick minor snowfall and drop temperatures to below normal for a 24 to 36 hour period. As that trough moves off the Atlantic coast, northwest flow, lake effect snow, and gusty winds over western areas start the first full week in February.
  14. Hopefully take a look at things on Wednesday morning and see how things look. Right now the models are messing with us. Looks like it's going to be a pretty nice week... Edit: NWS It is worth noting that the long range guidance from the GFS shows the NAO dipping negative at the end of January... something that has not happened since the end of November 2019.
  15. Thanks Blizz A lot of black ice up here this morning.
  16. Mag don't beat yourself up to bad. Weather pattern has been wrecking havoc with the models. Appreciate all your thoughts and forcasts!! Even though you messed one up this week. My new motto...Either we're all going to get hammered. Or nobody gets anything.
  17. I would tend to agree with what he is saying. Temps appear to be questionable. About Monday models will show a foot of snow and by Thursday it will all be rain.
  18. We have just been in this pattern we can't get away from...To bad it's not a snow pattern. Not trusting any models 3-5 days out anymore this winter.
  19. Thanks for posting that! A nice read! Hope your ok.
  20. And to add to all the warm tempeture talk, here is this post. @NWSStateCollege 3h Although it may not feel like it today or tomorrow, climatologically speaking we are at the coldest part of winter! Normal temperatures start to trend upward next week as we begin the slow climb toward Spring. #PAwx pic.twitter.com/J8sDgIy3cV
  21. Nice write up Mag! Myself I am kind of worried that the Canadian high looks weak, appears to be tapping into leftover cold air. As usual not a whole lot of blocking.
