Atleast I had a pause from ground hog day snows.... and yes that's a different truck, my old one, other one took a ride on a tow truck yesterday

So annoyed 2026 isn't good, first still sick now 2024 trucks 10 speed transmission messed up. Lol please hold off the snow for a little bit while i deal with this mess.

What are the odds the rest of winter will be snowy/ cold, if December is below average temperatures but above normal snowfall? From past memory I feel like the stats were 50/50? Could go both ways?

To go off track for a second, With modern day technology and ways to track people, doesn't this forum have the ability to know if someone is making a new account if they were blocked, banned, etc? Through IP, or emails? I only ask as it would seem there's been mention of people acting like other people, assuming they been banned or restricted etc.

Well i successfully shoveled my driveway earlier this time versus yesterday doing it then having a 10 minute coughing /gagging attack cause of this dam cold! Yey!

Hard to say nws thinks so. However, strong frontogenesis, marginal instability, and gusty west winds along and just ahead of the cold front will create a good chance for a line of moderate to heavy snow showers, and perhaps a snow squall. Latest CAMs are in good agreement at this time. The cold front will quickly move across the area, passing eastern LI/SE CT 8-9 am.

Let's not forget, they measure and clear the board each time measurement is made, with how they had sleet and freezing rain, compaction was legit so if the got 4 it would likely not show 4 if any Joe smo stuck a ruler in the snow. I maybe wrong but that's what my guess would be.

In 2023,I believe Christmas eve, we had a noreaster flood out everything then froze solid followed by sound effect snow that was accumulating several inches in fact. While rest of island saw nothing.

I finished with 7-8 inches solid. The snow was wetter on bottom and fluffier the rest of the way, kinda backwards from what was orginal thinking. On top of ocean affect snow south east to north west direction, Can't say I've ever seen that ever before... Great event, makes up for the crappy event we had last time
