    and the pattern change on the GEFS 6z...if you cycle through the temp 2m/850 anomoly..they don't ever go below normal...plenty above normal especially early...then it settles into normal to slightly above towards the end...at this point we are tracking nothing despite the amazing looks at h5...all the cold is focused out west. I am a simpleton for sure but until I see that change I know not to expect much at my location...normal temps don't cut it.

    As we are seeing with this upcoming weekend posting an operational map 6 days away is ridiculous. 16 days might as well be next winters map.

    I wonder if the final chapters are written on this now. I am thinking not and there will be some shifts but places like my yard are so on the line of completely nothing to a little something comes down to a few miles. every map the next tier of accumulations stops right on my fault line. I call it my fault line because it was my fault I was too lazy to drive further NW. "Sure this area looks ok and affordable. I am tired and need a drink lets buy this house"

    Each member is so different from the other. Hard to find a common thread. Some are elongated along 95. Some short and clustered over NE. Some are way south. Hard members for sure

    Didn’t see much direction on euro other than not bleeding more. A pure coastal in January that can’t deliver still makes me sad. But there is virtually no snow cover north of us so any high can’t be too cold. If New England was snow covered I think the high could have been colder. Couple degrees would have been nice.

    It’s a nail biter. I mean we came back from the brink of total fail. Anything positive in the 18z euro will be welcomed. But the euro can a harsh beast.

    Yeah also I think the NAM 3k is good for CAD real close in like 24 hours. I’ve given up the idea of being north of the 540. 534 would be money but that’s not the cards we were dealt. Honestly I could see both upside surprise or total fail at my location. I have no margin. All I have is being left of the fall line. Essentially a pair of 3s. Gotta make that win somehow.

    Yep. Look at PA. The snow totals collapsed SE like a soufflé. That said, it’s just not cold. So if I were to get 2 inches it would surprise me. Unless there are silly changes.
