  1. Ah I always forget that. I guess it’s best to stick with the EPS unless it’s not good. Maybe Feb will be better. at least we have this car topper on Tuesday to divert our attention.
  2. You mean the op right? The GEFS did not look great to me. I could see where it might progress later down the line to something serviceable.
  3. Well it’s not like we are seeing near misses to our north anyway. No one outside NNE is seeing winter like they would expect. Maybe this particular pattern won’t repeat for this duration for many years.
  4. Not sure I saw that but will look. Must have been late op run. Every day I wait for GEFS and click 384 h5. Then I punch myself in the face and wait for another 6 hours. It’s a very good system.
  5. Grass is already getting green. It’s hard to imagine anything now but above normal temps. I guess if you lock-in a bad pattern we could stay warm all winter then roll into spring. It would be an interesting scenario.
  6. Let’s hope the Atlantic gets blocked up like HM says he is hoping for.
  7. Nope I decided to follow you off this cliff for now. You seem wise and my room is not available yet. it can’t stay wretched forever.
  8. You need to reap Bob asap. He is bad for business spreading hope and shiit like that. EPO ridge pushing into AK...Scandinavian ridges...lights at ends of tunnels..workable patterns coming in quicker. I think you know what needs to be done!
  9. Another thing I took away from the GEFS is the solid vodka cold all the way across Canada. would suck to improve the pattern but have weak sauce cold in the source regions. Don't see that to be the case right now unless I read it wrong.
  10. What exit? Safe travels. South Jersey place to be on this one...well pretty good anyway. Like Bob said mangled events can occur.
  11. from a micro location perspective I would guess you and I need a significant shift SW to see something out of this. capture off the NJ coast will give folks west of I95 windy and drying NW winds, chilly conditions...that is my considered opinion. interesting none the less. I am rooting for anyone in the sub to see snow of any kind now.
  12. Thanks. Interesting. That’s a good spot for a lot of us. I know for clippers which are now extinct RIC pass is money. Your location imagine a NOVA pass is fine too. Any flakes would be fine.
  13. Save yourself the heartache and mentally write off 10-17 Jan. Hope for MLK miracle changes. That ridge is taking an extended vacation. It will leave at some point.
  14. No I proposed that. I would have cheated like Constanza did in Seinfeld. I have no will power. I’m a weenie.
  15. Maybe it will help draw it north. Big game hunting but only seeing squirrels.
  16. That being a smoothed average of all the members it could be quite a bit warmer in reality. I am guessing anyway.
  17. I don’t think I could unless it was a challenge that everyone did it. We need some extreme measures in an extreme pattern.
  18. let’s just all log off the site for 5 straight days and make a binding pact not to look at anything weather. Every thread no members browsing. Then all log back in Saturday and see where we are at. Who’s with me?
  19. That closed upper low is a possible way to get some sneaky snow showers..it’s still there hour 126. Sneaky snow is fun
  20. Is that potential for pattern change to "colder and snowier in late Jan/Feb if things work out" because it can't get much worse than it is right now or something you are seeing that leads you to think that? I mean we could trade one bad pattern for another giving us a different way to the same result. There was a lot of speculation in early Dec that things would turn around in late Dec/early Jan and well we know that is not happening. Thanks in advance. very much enjoy reading your posts.
  21. now we are looking for any signs of life in the hinter lands of the ensembles. But at least we are nearly at the top of the despair index so can only improve from here.
  22. I noticed that but didn't want to mention. h5 didn't look as impressive as I thought it would but at first glance it looked like a closed upper low.
