How so? Most of what I saw was epic blocking and positive temp departure discussion. It might get better after we punt most of January. We are on the threshold of hell. How can it get any worse at 0z?

GFS classic could have been nice for Sunday. So close to a light event

We'll get something wintry with that GEFS look. Won't likely be cold smoke but we don't see that much anyway. couple of 1-3 or 2-4 inch slop fest events would do nicely.

The real cold air is on the other side of the globe...and yes our source region has been flooded with warm pac diarrhea..Atlantic blocking can only do so much at our latitude.

Wonder if that’s ever happened. Sustained west based NAO block all winter and no snow. Wouldn’t that be a kick in the pillbox

6z keeps a lot of us wedged in for NYD. Shame it’s not colder or stronger high or something other than cold rain. Still this event has morphed into a different look from a flooding rain north south cold front.

Its actually worse than last year because we have the high latitude blocking and we still not tracking anything of significance but its worse for me because on paper we should be killing it Not sure about worse. You already had a warning level event...last winter was epic shit pile with corn...it’s still better...your expectations were too high with the blocking...we were all too excited about it...so.lower the expectation or you’ll just be miserable.

I meant to add the other day that I learned the cooking process really keeps going once you take the prime rib out of the oven. Came out at 115 and thought I was good..20mins later 123...then the sear adds a few more degrees...next time I will take out at 110. The ends were solid medium so almost a disaster. Middle was perfecto!
