    Not sure. We have failed in many patterns. This time Mother Nature is really calling our bluff. Just try and fail with this look. She underestimates how strong the force of fail is with us.

    We should be celebrating. It’s the holy grail of blocks. Hardly ever seen by human eyes. Yet somehow it’s like reaching a million in your 401K...you think it’s cool but you are more scared than excited.

    That panel above...that’s good right? I just don’t know anymore. It’s the best block example of a block I have ever seen in my life. It’s a cement block with a steel core.

    No rain snow line...no mountain eating up precip...wind off the bay. It’s the money event that won’t be there in 6 hours.

    Who wouldn’t like the end of the GFS hr 360 with a west to east snow event. That would be just perfect.

    GFS 12z has a little something hr 114-120...looks like the front digs a little deeper and moves a little slower...pity flakes but more pity than 6z

    Maybe a little SER is helpful. Keep any would be lows closer to the coast.

    Nope. A CMC, Icon, GFSx2 is still not enough when Euro shows nothing. And it shows not even a hint of anything.

    This one might have legs. Let’s see what our European friend thinks. Probably finishing a plate of bangers and mash getting ready to take a steamer on us.

    Looking at h5 192-204 it’s pretty sweet. I wouldn’t just assume gullywasher even at the coast. Especially with solutions that have more pronounced blocking.

    I do and you have done a bang up job breaking things down. Still nice to see some fantasy snow not massive rainstorms even on the op runs. Guess we will see how it plays out.

    It’s just an op run but it certainly doesn’t add to the confidence factor going into prime climo.

    Unless I read it wrong, 6z GFS didn’t have one flake of snow in our region from hour 0-384.

    I wonder if a clean all snow event is even possible anymore. Snow to rain to snow is fine but all snow would be fun too.

    Plenty of time for a westward adjustment. And it wouldn’t take much actually.
