The 12z Euro Ensemble is just incredible. The GFS and Canadian suites also look similar .

Its a tough call. Typically, the warm nose is under-modeled but the low level cold is always modeled too warm during the event. The latest HRRR paints more freezing rain than sleet and no snow. I think any snow is short-lived and maybe 1/2” of sleet then 0.2” of freezing rain. Looks to he pushing out of the area around 10am. .

Well I was pretty close with my CTP guess for a WWA .

I would be surprised if they went Winter Storm Watch. My guess is they will issue a WWA for LSV from noon Wednesday to noon Thursday for up to 1” of sleet/snow and 1 to 2 tenths of an inch of ice .

Picked up a quick half inch here in Lebanon. Roads covered two separate accidents on 81 in the county .

12 Euro EPS is still very aggressive in a snowy period the next 2 weeks .

No doubt the 18z GFS shows the potential for an epic battle the next 2+ weeks with deep cold pressing and a strong ridge off the southeast flexing its early muscles. Regardless what falls from the sky, the QPF looks plentiful to feed the soil .

Will give credit where credit is due. JB was all over the blend of the Kennedy and Reagan inauguration storm analogs and put out his final map yesterday. Overall he did well on this one .

Still some light snow in Lebanon but “final” tally is 9.5” on this one. Very impressive snowfall rates today .

It means that the GEM and RGEM were not totally crazy with their 9-11” ranges a few days ago. Someone is getting 10” out of this in the LSV .

Now at 7” in Lebanon. Snowing so heavy and about 2.5”/hr rates .

About 200 yards of visibility in Lebanon. At least 2”/hr rates right now…almost to 6” now so this one will be an over-achiever in my books .
