  1. It's right where we want it. Awaiting the 150 mile last minute NW jog.
  2. This answers the question, thank you! I thought pivotal factored in mixing, I knew tidbits doesn't.
  3. Still way below freezing. Ratios should not have been 1:6-1:8 unless we got the warm air aloft causing mixing. Toledo got over a foot, the storm went 150 miles further NW then modeled a day before.
  4. with temps in the high teens/ low 20s for this storm you think they would work out ok, but the atmosphere temps were a different story. They were well above freezing way up into the snow growth zone.
  5. I thought kuchera would have made sense with temps in the high teens for this storm. A humbling experience. That warm tongue moved farther NW which increased the temperature aloft to above freezing. Even KBUF in their discussion was shocked the mixing line made it that far north.
  6. Storm totals. I think highest was Niagara Falls with 9.5" https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF
  7. That is like 1" per hour snowfall rates max. I thought blizzard was 35+ mph+?
  8. You and me have a different view of what blizzard conditions are.
  9. 2-3" so far. Waiting for that dry slot and mixture that is heading up from Ohio.
  10. 200 mile NW shift in last 2 days of this storm. Pretty remarkable. Weather models are getting worse it seems.
  11. Sometimes I wish it was still like that. Just take weather as it came and knew nothing of the future. Can you imagine Nov 2014 hitting without us knowing it was coming. This is how I viewed weather as a kid. I didn't look at models, just walked outside and saw it snowing and went out and enjoyed it.
  12. Only in this area. Just a little bit west and they are having a record breaking season.
