  1. RGEM drops a foot on me. It's lake effect so you can use kuch. That model is falling off now too. All we have is the Germans left.
  2. We haven't exactly been killing it in Buffalo on SW flow. We've been far below average for 2 straight season too. We've had many terrible seasons the last decade including only 36" and 58" in back to back seasons from 2011-2013 and then again with 55" and 76" from 2015-2017. Our average was 78" for those 6 years. One could argue we've had it worst then Roc and Syr. https://www.weather.gov/buf/BuffaloSnow
  3. Also, I forgot to factor in the X factor in Tughill moving to central NY. That is probably by far the most important factor statistically speaking.
  4. Between 1990-2010 their average was 137.1". Even without global warming, statistically (unless reporting station moved) they are due for a regression.
  5. Actually 1990-2000 was even more at 140.2" 1991-1992 166.9 1992-1993 192.1 1993-1994 163.8 1994-1995 66.9 1995-1996 170.9 1996-1997 131.1 1997-1998 134.7 1998-1999 98.3 1999-2000 85.8 2000-2001 191.9
  6. SYR was a snowbelt for the 2000s averaging 134" a year. 2001-2002 59.4 2002-2003 153.2 2003-2004 181.3 2004-2005 136.2 2005-2006 124.6 2006-2007 140.2 2007-2008 109.1 2008-2009 149.6 2009-2010 106.2 2010-2011 179.4
  7. Did SYR ever move their reporting station in the last 70 years?
  8. Global warming leading to less arctic intrusions and less NW flow. It's a valid hypothesis TBH. The same can be said for all areas that rely on LES to get yearly averages.
  9. SYR average from 1950-1980 was 110.2" 1960-1990 was 109.13" 1970-2000 was 121.3" 1980-2010 was 128.4" 1990-2020 was 123.8"
  10. https://www.tsforecast.com/seasonalsnowfall.html Syracuse has been killing it the last 30 years. It seems the previous 40 the average was much less.
  11. It won't matter as herd immunity is 70%. Between infections and vaccines that 20% won't matter.
  12. GSB Cities The 2020 - 2021 Snow Season Normal Average to Date This Time Last Season Normal Seasons Average All Time Season Snowfall Record Binghamton 84.5 57.1 58.5 83.4 135.2 inches (2016 - 2017) Buffalo 65.4 72.4 56.5 94.7 199.4 inches (1976 - 1977) Syracuse 57.0 92.4 64.0 123.8 192.1 inches (1992 - 1993) Rochester 55.1 70.5 77.4 99.5 161.7 inches (1959 - 1960) Albany 50.2 42.4 41.2 60.2 112.5 inches (1970 - 1971)
  13. My buddy in Austin is scared to leave his house. 3 consecutive snowstorms in last 7 days, crazy.
  14. The western sides of the lakes have had more lake effect then the eastern sides have this year. I don't think I've ever seen such a thing. Wisconsin and Illinois got more lake effect then Michigan did.
  15. Vermont and NH are above normal too. It's really just Buffalo/Roc/SYR and eastern Maine. I think Northern Michigan is well below normal too?@josh_4184
