  1. I followed that thread pretty close highest totals were like 15"? Someone got 15" in 3 hours?
  2. I will say that band in Connecticut during Nemo and the band just west of Binghamton last December were pretty close to top LES caliber snowfall rates.
  3. To each their own. For me its all about the snow falling and crazy rates. Inside of a LES band you'll never experience that in a synoptic storm. We had rates of 6-8" per back in 2014 peak stuff, off Ontario in the strongest bands 10-12" per hour has been recorded. Good luck finding that in synoptic. The worst synoptic storm I've been doesn't even compare to a marginal LES event. I've seen some crazy storms hiking in various mountain ranges and the middle of a crazy LES band is unmatched. Going outside and seeing snow on the ground just doesn't do it for me. I need this
  4. ...A LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND WILL AFFECT PARTS OF JEFFERSON...OSWEGO... AND LEWIS COUNTIES... HAZARDS...A intense band of lake effect snow which can rapidly reduce visibility to less than a quarter of a mile, with zero visibility in the heart of the band. This lake effect snow band is producing extremely heavy snow at the rate of 3 to 5 inches per hour. This will make travel just about impossible along this stretch of I-81 from around Mannsville south to Pulaski. Please avoid travel in these areas.
  5. I think thats south of his place, 1-2 miles north is getting 3-4" per.
  6. Hey @wolfie09 I'm going to need a video of that band, just intensified over your place.
  7. good website to bookmark, they organized the cams https://www.northernchateau.com/w/webcam17.html
  8. Osceala has been getting hit hard all day. I believe that stick on bottom left side is 5-6'?
  9. Yeah south redfield has been target all day. I zoomed in and looks like she has teeth.
  10. I mean if I lived in Syracuse I would be in the middle of that thing right now after work. How far of a drive is it like 20-30 minutes?
  11. We know with RGEM you have to cut QPF by around 70%. At least it hits locations good.
  12. If I lived off Ontario I would have to pick a spot that got hit with bands like that. I couldn't do the NW transient flow bands. I'd rather get 1-2 big boy events than 10-12 small events.
  13. If I leave work at 415 I can make it there by 615, you got a spot in the driveway wolf.
  14. Southern redfield getting 4" per, been in band all day. easily 2' already there. Wheres our spotter @TugHillMattwhen we needed him.
  15. Us WNYers need to teach you Ontario folk how to record videos and take pictures.
  16. Parish timelapse webcam https://www.weatherbug.com/weather-camera/?cam=PRSHW
  17. It's crazy we went straight from cutter season to suppression season and no in between. We have the cold air now but just nothing to work with, about the worst you can expect given the cold off Erie. The cutters going south of us is what is really strange, that rarely happens. Usually with clippers you get lake enhanced in front and lake effect behind along with some synoptic moisture. Once you string 3-4 in a row you're having a good winter.
