Why bother with a tor emergency if you don't issue it until the tornado is actually plowing through the town?
I understand that there was already a tor warn well in advance, so people should have already heeded that. But still....

That KY-AR line is now training tor warns

Looks like Hayti was spared. Turn on Traffic on Google Maps and you can see where it crossed I-55 south of the 412/I-155 interchange.

Yeah, I-55 is closed.

So many tor warns popping up, it's like watching the bombing of Dresden.

Allegedly near Jonesboro, AR

Dang, a line of 5 tor warns in MO flanked by 1 in IA and 1 in AR
-
Well dang, so we're going to get another round tonight in DFW after this line that is currently rolling through.
Any chance this current line will lessen the tornado risk for tonight's main event for DFW?

Agreed, an embarrassing number of recon issues lately. We'll have to resort to assessing TC intensity by surveying after the fact like with tornadoes.

Yeah this one is being retired for sure. You gotta admit that "Ida" just seemed like an old fashioned badass name for a hurricane and it lived up to the name. I wonder what the "I" replacement name is-I hope it is not lame.
*I just looked it up...I hope it was wrong...it said the replacement name is "Izzy". ???
*huh..."I" storms have had the most names retired of any letter.
There are plenty of good 'I' names left, including Ida-Claire, In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, Ilemonjello....
