Storm chaser tour van at night?
Zero sympathy for Darwin Tours, those disaster wankers are just making more completely unnecessary work and distraction for emergency responders.
These are very low population, spread out areas. Not a huge amount of emergency resources to begin with.

Absolutely vicious rotation in the cell just south of Lockett TX, hope it's not a populated area.
Most of the population are rattlesnakes.
Don't want to get close to a sneknado.

Don't think I'd buy a home anywhere named Slaughterville.

Aaand we've got a tor warn nw of Odessa

A little bit here, a little bit there, maybe we can chip away a little at the drought.

Man, Murfreesboro may be Nashville's biggest tornado magnet.

Google Maps Traffic shows exactly where.

No need to make the post 5.5" tall, too.

There's a double wide mobile home completely gone across from that business with people missing. Specifically heard across from R&R on the scanner feed.

Saw a report of trees down on a house on Jackson St, which starts basically just across the tracks from R&R.

Another view of the Allendale tornado aproaching from R&R Motors, about 800' behind (to the northwest) of where the Mitch West damage vid was taken:

Not lucky, commercial buildings destroyed per ems at the least, they can't get into all areas yet.

Lucky that the path was over low density, mostly scattered industrial buildings, rather than those AND a high school or those AND plowing through the southeast half of town. It's a relative term.
-
The Mitch West vid from Allendale shows him blocked from going southeast at the southeast edge of town. So hopefully the town itself was not hit hard. But the high school is .9 miles further southeast of his location. Perhaps we got lucky and the tornado went through that gap.

Dang, almost a direct hit on Allendale, SC, looks to be crossing the southeast half of the small town. Trailer homes, public housing, and a grocery store along with traditional neighborhood homes.
-
8 simultaneous tornadoes at the moment in GA and SC. The Macon, GA tornado looks about to hit the Macon bacon plant.

I've noticed that for greater DFW, the closer you live to the Red River, the more often you get the worst weather (of all types).
Obviously not in every instance, but rather on average.

Hmm, not looking forward to tomorrow night's storms.
Very windy this evening in Ft. Worth. Relatively low dew points felt great. Wish DFW was 150 miles further west, dew points are usually low enough once you reach Abilene (and definitely by Sweetwater) that summers never really feel that hot out there.

So we've had tornadoes today in Jackson, MS, Jackson, TN, and now Jackson, AL.
I probably won't be moving to anywhere named Jackson.
Tornado se of Brent, AL looks to be mowing down pine tree stands. That crap snaps in half easily.

Wears Valley fire and evacuation looks pretty serious. One TV reporter is claiming tomorrow's rain will not be enough to put it out.

Back to scheduled programming,
I'd hate to be on a towboat inside that tor warn that runs up the curvy Mississippi River north of Clarksdale, MS.
Meanwhile, further south
