Yeah...you know what CNN is insinuating with their headlines. This is just a statistical anomaly plus geometry challenged region.
And NPR, Everytime I tune in it's something about how climate change is to blame.....
I could only imagine if we had a 1950s redux what everyone be saying......

The "I" thing isn't that surprising, because it's typically around the peak season. Certainly not going to be a U or X.

What about our PRE? No one seems to be talking about it.

Just moved to Plymouth NH to start my masters degree. Anyone around there that can give me a sense of the winters up here?
The hills to the southwest (Dorchester area) and to the north (Stinson Lake area) get quite a bit more snow and retain it a lot better than in the Baker River Valley itself. Can be hardly any in valley but 18'' up in the hills.

Tiny thunderstorm about to roll through. Didn’t expect any thunder
Yeah got one big rumble but that's it, then started raining, still raining lightly. Overall a very nice weekend contrary to what we thought it was going to be.

ughhh damn it...I have a ton of quarters and I'm going next Saturday.
I know they used to take quarters back in the day b/c my parents and grandparents would save quarters for the slots.
there's probably a machine somewhere there to turn them in for tickets, @Ginx snewxwould know

Are you still able to use quarters at the slots in any of the CT casinos?
I know Foxwoods only takes those paper tickets or cards I believe. I think you can put bills in but it'll spit out a ticket. Don't remember coins being an option

Misery mist. Mosquito maker.
Mold multiplier.Awful for August. Typically our sunniest month. It's like we never left May all summer. Hung up fronts and cut off lows ATT.

Thread didn't get much action this year, sad.

Funny how much better MA handled 6" of rain vs VT. Goes to show you how much terrain makes a difference.

I get the sentiment from folks that winters can drag, especially if it’s not a good snow year. However, there isn’t much that’s appealing to me about being confined inside with AC because it’s 95/79 10 months out of the year either.
At least you can go outside to the pool and beach, go fishing..... The problem with 40s is it's just useless weather, unless it's splitting firewood or blowing leaves.

90s and 80s country was the best. The new stuff is basically all recycled. Don't get me wrong.... I love pickups and fishing, but it can't be all you listen too lol.

Likely a few days of onshore flow with grey skies and maybe some sprinkles, I'm all set.
