    right after i took this the feathers started falling again.

    why look at models when radar and obs are the real life data in front of us? the storm isn’t over. nothing meaningful was going to happen during daylight hours unless you’re well east where the blizzard will be.

    and now down to flurries for the first time all day.

    rates are everything. the flakes are smaller now and visibility is down to about 1/4 mile in this band so heavy snow right now, with a coating on grass and elevated surfaces. it’s also colder as i no longer hear the runoff from the snow melting off the roof.

    that is a work of art out my way. still can't believe the change in my forecast over the last 12 hours.

    except that’s not what those maps show.

    the Norlun trough out here is on all those maps so how is it drier to the west?
