Light sleet; starting to get a coating on the deck.  Already my second biggest event of the year!

We've had steady flurries for the last couple hours.  It was great mood snow for gift opening and Xmas brunch.  Merry Christmas everyone!

Ended up with 2.25" here.  Nice way to start the winter.

Switched over to sleet a little before 1:30 in N. Bethesda.  2" of snow before the change.  I have officially surpassed last winter's total!

I would be quite happy with seeing first flakes of the year.  Seems like that's still a possibility.

Schultz's numbers are actually pretty decent when he wasn't paired with Johnson, who was horrible. He actually played pretty well when paired with Petterson , and I think he'll fit well next to Orlov.  That said, I would have thought he would have been cheaper.   

I believe the caps still have 3M in cap space because Kempney is going to be on LTIR.  Figure Siegs gets 1.2 or so, and hopefully they'll use the rest to add some scoring punch to the bottom 6.
