  1. I don't remember much about model algorithms, but it seems that when they change dramatically between 6 hr runs, there has to be some reason. I guess, 5-6 days out, the potential outcomes are so great that it can spit out 2 very different ones based on permutations alone.
  2. I think it was the March 12, 2017 storm. All the post of the ICON are all missing links so would have to look at archives, if there are any.
  3. Including the city of Copper Harbor 420 AM EST Tue Nov 26 2019 ...BLIZZARD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 7 PM EST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 11 to 16 inches. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph. Yes please.
  4. It wasn't the only one, but it was the most right from far out....now you're gonna make me look!
  5. There was 1 storm 2 years ago that the ICON pulled off. It was a pretty big one too, I think it was the one were we (Ontario, NY) got a total of 29" or so over a 2-day period. Tim?
  6. Delta, any thoughts on impending wind/severe T storm event?
  7. Some pretty heavy rates (1-2"/hr) north of Albany...
  8. https://www.americanwx.com/bb/forum/18-climate-change/ Back to regularly scheduled programming...
  9. The bands have been quite sparse this evening. Lack of moisture I presume?
  10. Well, consider this a nice head start for BUF and ROC in the Golden Snowball contest vs SYR.
  11. CLE just left the WSWs up to include the LE as well.
  12. Ontario, just north of Walworth, got about 7-8" or so.
  13. Looks like a potential (and rare) single NW band event? Likely some other smaller ones to the east as well.
  14. Not sure why WSWs weren't replace with Lake Snow advisories...
  15. We ended up with probably 8 or 9, with 3 to 7 LE in the points for tonight. Wondering if that will pan out.
  16. We've got 2" in Ontario. Only about 1" near the lake (as expected). Winds are picking up.
  17. The roads are terrible already. Saw many accidents already. Be careful out there!
