  1. Think you need to look at the Aleutian LP to see how the downstream reacts.
  2. Not to be a Debbie Downer, but there's no way we stay snow very long with a 994 LP over BUF . We either need a weaker low and quicker xfer or a more W-E trajectory about 100 mile further south w/quick xfer.
  3. If the data is operational model history, then likely pre-FV3 as I don't believe it was considered the official operational GFS last year.
  4. At this point I hope it's further west so we get warmer with less rain.
  5. The pattern will change in Apr...just when we're all sick of the cold rainy weather. lol - extending the cold, rainy weather until mid-May. Ok, that's depressing. I'd be happy to get a couple of big storms in there, even if they melted away.
  6. WPC Ext Disc... Given the evolution of the large-scale/hemispheric pattern, with a building anomalous upper ridge between Alaska and Hawaii, this favors a persistent mean trough along the U.S. West Coast and a stronger subtropical ridge in the Southeast. Sounds like the Bermuda high is the winner.
  7. I'm wondering if the oscillations are aligned to blocking/ENSO/MJO 'patterns'.
  8. Can anyone tell me when a primary 997 LP passed to our west and stayed all snow in WNY w/no secondary coastal?
