  1. I've always wondered how well Orleans does. Radar seems lit up there alot during lake effect.
  2. Ah yes, frictional convergence based on the coastline shape and then orographic lifting. We've been getting squat in western Wayne cty...bummed. Can't even get the grass fully covered! My kids are NOT happy...lol
  3. These bands seem to be heavier away from the lakes. Is this just an orographic thing?
  4. This is the only radar that seems to capture the 'gap' from eastern Monroe cty. to eastern Wayne cty. https://www.localsyr.com/live-radar/ Dave, is WHEC's doppler out of commission now?
  5. Yes, let's do this...sick of seeing the green grass all season so far...
  6. That looks fun. Really bummed, seems Christmas season went by extra quickly this year. Can we extend by a month or so?
  7. The 1993 triple-phase was showing on models at least 5 days out, maybe more. I distinctly remember being in the Met labs with my classmates drooling over those maps. Interesting read for GFS upgrades recently: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_Forecast_System
  8. Too bad they couldn't incorporate some AI into the developing process...
  9. I went to school with Mentkowski. I think we were the biggest Met class to graduate from OSU at the time. 12 of us nerds. Fun times.
  10. Mostly DM and some CTF. I honestly can't remember the names, but used to play a ton and have a blast.
  11. They passed way too much. The run was working, but Allen made penance by his rushing TDs.
  12. Hey guys, this is a weather forum, not OT. Our new 'mod' may swing the ban hammer. Is the LE done now?
  13. Morning. Buf looks pretty bullish on the snow map. This starts 7am. Looks like we have 2" or so. First time the grass is covered.
