  1. That’s a big cutback from your previous outage call.
  2. It’s not crawling anymore but yes their will be some damage and outages. It doesn’t take much for that to happen though.
  3. That’s an old map. To be fair, they cut that back by a lot on their next update.
  4. They’ve dealt with worse probably but I can only speak for WCT and the vibe I got from packed gas stations and ransacked grocery stores.
  5. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=subregional-New_England-09-24-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=undefined
  6. I don’t see it that way. Everyone knows we can lose power pretty easily around here and is prepped. Was at a birthday party yesterday and it was the talk of the party with folks checking their phones for the latest updates.
  7. Yup. We’re Rooting for DIT to experience the power outage tree damage summer coastal followed by a heat wave where he can’t hide behind his window AC unit.
  8. Doctors appointments are not memorable unless it’s a colonoscopy.
  9. 2-3 days max but I’m leaning minimal power outages inland west of WBY.
  10. A bear fart in CT can shut the grid down for a day.
  11. The most frustrating may have been Isiass. Trees down in the middle of roads for 5 days before anyone attended to them when they had plenty of time and notice to prep. May 18 Tor was somewhat understandable giving the short notice and extensive destruction in this region.
  12. Off the top of my head for me: 10 days Oct 11 snow, 9 days May 18 Tornado, and 7 days Aug 20 Isiass.
  13. High fives all around. GL out east.
  14. The accordion player melted hard and fast last night over the west trends too.
  15. The same reason you use it in wintah when it offers you the largest amount of snow.
  16. That’s manageable and not really my concern. Tree/home damage is.
  17. Yea. The new infrastructure bill isn’t enough to move us forward either. If we don’t update our power grids and our power source…eventually DIT will get his wish of months in darkness and NewEng peeps smelling like peasant orgies from the 1600s.
  18. You posted that yesterday already but we’re relieved with the weaker and east trends.
  19. Well they need to prepare for the worst, they should. We can’t have another Isiass from last Aug.
  20. 6z euro ticked east and not hooking into wct. It’s pretty safe to say the west trend was overdone.
  21. Hoping for a 5 borough power outage so you can work OT with the added crime sprees?
  22. CT does not handle high wind events well so if we can keep inland gusts below 60mph we should be fine. I’m worried about these 3 trees that overhang the house on the East side so the gusts, wind direction, and obviously how saturated the ground is and gets…
