I often think however that people have always lacked critical thinking skills (they’re not necessarily in decline) but that technology has simply exasperated it…and revealed who they are a-lot easier giving the illusion of heightened stupidity. That’s really bad considering the circumstances. It does not seem to be a new issue so the inspector has some explaining to do why he did not catch prior water damage. Shame on the previous owner not disclosing this as well. Sucks man but I’d reach out to your realtor to start.
