  1. Only 24 hours of nasty nor'easter to go, ok maybe 30 hours
  2. With winter cold this would have been worse than the blizzard of 1888, and centered over the Delaware Valley/central Jersey. There would have been daily forecast changes too having to add additional feet of snow as new information was coming in..
  3. Going to say something with all seriousness- this is the worst nor'easter of my lifetime. It's going to be five consecutive days of near constant varying intensity rain and northeast wind through tomorrow now on guidance. Not counting Friday evening rains from the initial surge even. Then there is the 20 degree below normal temperatures, NYC has set a record low maximum high and may do it again today.
  4. Euro is an additional 2-4" through Wednesday morning. But some good news because the ECM is at least trying to end the rain mid day Wednesday, and it has a dry frontal passage Friday!
  5. Checkout the gargantuan stalled conveyor belt in the Atlantic formed by Ian, the formidable blocking created this beast. Guidance doesn't even know what this thing is lol. https://www.star.nesdis.noaa.gov/GOES/conus_band.php?sat=G16&band=GEOCOLOR&length=24
  6. Nah it wasn't even a season it was three months.
  7. Enormous slug of moisture crashing the entire Jersey coast from the Atlantic right now, such a giant guidance fail.
  8. That's a second maxima zone for Ian currently. Some places in Tom's river area over 6".
  9. One day with some sun Thursday then clouds and showers with the arctic front Friday, another drought please for cripes sake lol
  10. And what was up with the sunny Wednesday forecast, models been showing showers and clouds hang tough, now it looks worse.
  11. So much for the dry Monday that models had, fooking ghost of Ian retrograding and overachieving.
  12. Strong banana high pressure to lock in the cold too
  13. Philly receiving the harmonic convergence of rain from every direction except west lol
  14. Radar estimates hitting 3" in Doylestown/ Ralph land in Bucks
  15. What caused this 5 day cold foul weather? A probably rare as one in a thousand or more year triple tropical trouble of the the strongest ever Typhoon to crash the Gulf of Alaska to disturb the polar vortex and setup western north America blocking, followed by the strongest ever tropical system to crash Nova Scotia and create a strong -NAO, and Ian get perfectly snared into the setup. Are you feeling lucky?
  16. If guidance is too be believed, a BIG if, we get a break in the rain though remaining cloudy breezy and cold tomorrow before no'reaster #2 takes over for Tuesday into Wednesday. Imagine a double snowstorm in winter.
  17. 0z euro keeps Ian around with raw northeast wind and rain through Wednesday, 6 days lol
  18. Willing to bet its been decades or never since we had a tropical system hang around for 3-4 days it just doesn't happen they motor along. Agnes maybe who knows
  19. It's soaked Maybe Ian can stick around for Wednesday
  20. 0z runs are keeping Ian rains around for Tuesday too..
  21. Snow in the North Carolina, Tennessee mountains for only the second time this early in the season.
  22. Anybody notice the streamer of showers from the river northwest through Bucks, etc. zero guidance had it. We should have had a long break from morning until after dark without rain. Dreading this dragging out through three days I hate cloudy cool wet fall garbage weather thanks Ian you tool.
  23. Most guidance had a break in the precipitation from late morning through the evening and it hasn't let up
  24. Big bustorama on Weather Worlds warm 5 week outlook made mid month. Coldest first half of October in years growing likely. Think the super massive Gulf of Alaska storm a few weeks back caused this.
