  1. NASA's Hurricane group did some calcs on Lorenzo's rainfall rates earlier today -
  2. Yeah Karen's convection has woken up a bit now. Jerry was rockin' and rollin' with the lightning most of the afternoon!
  3. They were waiting for and then went with the 1008. I think Karen needs some Jerry mojo!
  4. Looks like AF304 is on a run into Karen. Will be interesting to see if they can find any circulation left.
  5. Made it up to 88 here today after a low of 68 this morning. Had much more cloud cover today than previous days. The humidity/dp did start dropping after 3:30 pm though so it's not bad out. Currently 84 and mostly cloudy.
  6. Jerry's 5 pm update as it continues to take the shear and hang on (plus I see the track has shifted to mirror some of the models showing a SE bend) -
  7. Lorenzo got an early 5 pm update (and is doing better than Karen)!
  8. Looks like it gets cut off from view on this but it kept it alive (but looks almost like a fujiwhara effect going on there) -
  9. Yeah I don't think it is really closed but it is slowly spinning. Still learning how to read these types of ops (from here - https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/URNT15-USAF.shtml)-
  10. Looking at the vis loops, there does appear to be a circulation under that convection -
  11. 11 am update (Jerry is hanging in there despite all the buffeting and sheer) -
  12. That flight pattern is almost like what I've seen when they are doing perimeter measurements. They are probably still trying to get a center for it in the middle of the convection.
  13. 11 am update (storm motion has sped up but system strength/winds still the same) -
