That NWS doesn't have confidence greater than 50 percent for HFD/ SPFD 6 plus is kinda depressing

I would have expanded the watches to Hartford and Hampden Counties, for 4-8" accums.

Watches go down to advisories all the time.

Why anyone would write a storm off that hasn't formed yet is a complete mystery to me.

So maybe I'm an idiot, but I don't see the heavy snow over the lower Midwest modeled anywhere on the NAM.

Inside 495: 12-18

I-91 to 495: 6-12

Route 7 to I-91: 3-6

Given we saw the NAM decide not to latch the sfc low onto convection 400 miles away from the barcolinic zone at 48 hours, I suggest not weighing the NAM too heavily or not at all until inside 48 hours.

700 mile long band of snow on the NAM. Impressive.
