Temp down to 37. All snow with mulch white and grass areas starting to stick.

38/25 and moderate to heavy snow. Only barely beginning to stick around mulched areas.

I grew up in Brown Summit. Never heard of Center Grove
It’s the name of the old township between Brown Summit and Summerfield. A few businesses around there still use the name in their titles. Unfortunately, the days of referencing township names has long passed.

Temp fell from 42 to 39 soon after snow began picking up here. Once it’s all said and done, we’ll have 4” of snowfall and 0.25” on the ground to show for it.

Seriously... The weather channel?
You might not have heard of them, but they’re a pretty big deal in waiting rooms and nursing homes.
Snow has picked up a little north of GSO. Temp down to 39.

Light snow flizzard ten miles north of downtown GSO. Just now started.

Grass going white in Stuart Va. 1500'. No thermometer on my webcams (need to fix that). But still snowing steady.
Saw an mPING report just now of snow in Kernersville. Nothing IMBY yet.

Overcast and 41/24 in GSO. Haven’t seen the first drop of precipitation in any form.

I just can't believe that it's a lack of moisture that's going to do us in. What a slap in the face after suffering through the wettest start of the year ever.
Isn’t that the truth? My yard has been a swamp for weeks and now that we’re on the edge of having the right temps, we can’t buy a drop.

I’m one of maybe half a dozen people who use mPING in the entire Triad.

Central NC: “Oh, NAM. You look fantastic. We’re going to have a wonderful evening.”
NAM: “I’m feeling nauseated. I need to go home early.”

Give me about 8 degrees and you've got a deal!
Meh, I’ve had enough rain lately. I’d just like to see some snow cover on the grass before grilling season.

I’ll trade someone to my south 1 degree of temp for 0.2” of QPF. Anyone? Anyone?

That 12z NAM!! Yeah, baby, yeah!!! Non shagadellic! No snow in the upstate, is this the same model we had giving RAH 12” the other day!??
Dewooints ain’t gonna matter if you don’t get the rates, GSO-RAH , 1” at best
Now you’re just having a laugh at this point.

I had a bad feeling about this system, but got caught up in the wishcasting. My 1.5” for GSO was too optimistic. We’ll be lucky to get a dusting on the mulch.

I've been posting today from TX that this system is overperforming bigtime. Still raining here and has been raining for over 24 hours now. QPF will not be the issue tomorrow.
The problem for some is not just the quantity of QPF, but the cutoff. It could be pretty sharp for places that otherwise wouldn’t have temp issues.

lol.
On another note--I know GSO will outperform RDU in storm total. I don't care what the models are showing right now. I've seen this song and dance before..
Maybe, but I might need to some QPF for that to happen. I’m not worried about temps here. I’m just afraid that we’ll be short on moisture.

But the tornado might blow all the snow away.
Or dry up the puddles.

Heard y’all like snow maps here’s what I made for my friends on Facebook
I like your optimism and hope that map verifies, but I’ll be shocked if everyone receives half of that.

What do you consider inland? Chesapeake? Norfolk? Suffolk?
Suffolk will probably probably take the gold for that area, but almost everyone around there should cash in.

Still happy here in Virginia Beach!
You’ll probably end up with about 3” inland and 0.5” on the beach. Still more than Philly this season.

I ended up with 2” ten miles north of Greensboro. Small victory considering the craptacular winter we’ve had. I’ve officially received twice as much snow as DC and Philly COMBINED this season. Think about that.
