  1. Good thing it’s not re freezing into one giant glacier
  2. Walking on the trails by the rouge river in Canton I see they put in a new gauge! Pretty cool and about time over here.
  3. 60s to 70s here I’ll take that so I can ease into the heat lol
  4. I worked last summer north and along m59 area by Howell and was nothing but swamps I had to walk thru. But I loved how quiet it was
  5. Nope lows of 73 and dews in the 70s incoming. Would be hella nice tho
  6. They repaved it last Thursday and since 1.5-2” has fallen. Holes so bad my work truck had to go to the shop. Measured one 6.5” deep water covered too so hard to tell what ones will eat your tire for breakfast
  7. That is insane… it’s just a dense sheet. And that qpf is just off the charts.. glad your doing alright tho love the pics!
  8. Of course it comes it after an event like this. That’s good it’s not sticking to hardwoods much other than softwoods. The wind can be a blessing and a curse. Down here when we had our heavy wet snow with winds ended up doing my area a favor in knocking off some of it
  9. That’s insane… I hope it stops soon for y’all. Plows getting stuck is crazy to hear. Do all the trees look like Dr Seuss inspired fiction?
  10. I wonder how our northern tier friends are doing with the snow
  11. I have a cold myself. Finally caught up with me. I have 0 motivation to work in the woods today in this rainy BS. Sorry probably ment for banter thread
  12. this weather definitely has an impact on the ole immune system after the mid month warmth
  13. https://shipsnowyo.com/ right to your backyard
  14. There is plenty of snow we could try to ship down to Texas for ya lol
  15. I had a similar thought today. A month from now today will be forgotten as it could be mid to upper 80s even low 90s with severe storms knocking
  16. Here is a link that can explain it better than I can it’s a pretty cool phenomenon that happens https://www.weather.gov/source/zhu/ZHU_Training_Page/Miscellaneous/gravity_wave/gravity_wave.html#:~:text=A gravity wave is nothing, region of very stable air.
  17. Not gonna lie the precip screw hole in the LP of MI is definitely welcome. I’ll take cold and breezy then add rain on top edit: not 15 mins after I post I got hailed on pretty good while I’m working lol
  18. Hopefully power stays on at it slows a bit. Too much snow on trees and infrastructure is scary I’ve come to realize imby. That melt from the water content is going to be quite something. I’m sure the utility companies up there are better then consumers and DTE down here
  19. I feel really bad for the north tier of our sub. Feet of heavy wet snow is hard to imagine
  20. I’ll take a drier may if it means holding the skeeters back some
  21. That’s a good thing! I remember a couple summers ago the rouge flooded in canton along with everywhere else. Old timers telling me they have not seen the canton portion flood in over 50 years. I was trapped in my neighborhood and water too deep without risking my vehicles. The storms that form from extreme cape is something else to witness as well
  22. Hoping for some of those training events also! Perfect for lightning. I go to Clearwater on the 17th and look forward to all the lightning at nighttime when the storms are popping off around me by the ocean
