    I am right under the X in KLWX radar starting to think this is a bit concerning with the cells picking up rotation and strengthening. A lot of people are smarter than me here so should I be? I mean not too concerning yet but if they do stay alive they should hit me.

    If I radar hallucinate hard enough I can see those two severe warned cells hitting me directly.

    What sort of storms do you think we will be looking at I personally think that pulse types storms are the most likely with supercells not all too likely due to the low shear. Also would this sort of environment enable microbursts because they are pulse type storms, to be honest I have no idea what sort of environment makes them likely?

    I agree but it is crazy humid, I do think that we need the rain though.

    Same thing here in western Fairfax there have been holes for weeks but nothing else.

    Yeah that radar looked pretty textbook with that hook with a ball on the end.

    What is up with this severe outbreak over the past two days I don't know if I was just under a rock or something but this seemed to overperform big time.

    There is a debris ball as well and is seems to be heading for the northern suburbs of Tupelo scary stuff.

    Like I said earlier I think that might of been the one time a severe thunderstorm warning verified though very little damage around the neighborhood despite the 60mph + wind gusts(eyeballing the trees) which is fortunate.

    Out near Dulles it was crazy, I was in the middle of mowing and there were a solid three prolonged wind gusts over 60 I would think

    I think that was the only time that a severe thunderstorm warning verified for us (east of Dulles airport).

    If some areas do get some rain from the showers that may or may not accompany that second front our area could be in for a ton of trees down.

    Also does anyone know when the last wind warning for DC was? It seems like we get wind advisories all the time but never warnings.

    The wind warning just went into effect geez the one time we don't bust low on a wind event.

    Should we make a wind thread for today so we get none, just like how making snowstorm threads work.

    I hate carpenter bees recently one just dived bombed me from the roof as I was walking to the front door.

    I think the main problem is that people in some places either don't know where to get the vaccines or cant drive out of the city to spots where they have them.
