  1. Fingers crossed for token flakes around Lake Norman early Monday morning.
  2. Please open your freezer and turn on your sprinkler when you start the thread. Thanks a bunch. Sincerely, Snowless Piedmont
  3. Maine landfall. Biggest rainfall and wind/surge impacts. Squally weather for rest of NE
  4. Had a strong storm move through Cornelius around 6:30-7. 60 mph gusts at least. Dime sized hail. Crazy rain rate. Some of the strongest wind I've seen here outside of an EF0 tornado a few years back North to south wind blew branches and limbs everywhere. Pool furniture slung into the water. Crazy because it was severe warned south of us in Gaston county, but it lost its severe criteria here in Meck
  5. East Coast keep your heads up. 25% chance it pushes more west
  6. This thing is about to blow up. Two days ahead of schedule sadly means a CAT 4 hurricane near the Big Bend of FL.
  7. 38% humidity in late August by Lake Norman. 88 degrees and it feels like nirvana!
  8. 38 percent humidity by the lake today in the Piedmont in late August. Please sir, may I have some more?
  9. Brad P thinking we may hit triple digits in the Piedmont on Friday.
  10. 50-60 mph winds here in Cornelius. Crazy lightning and rain. Think I got a still pic of the rope tornado in Mooresville. Will try and post here. Definitely one of the strongest storms this summer in Lake Norman. Wild stuff
  11. Lots of sun earlier in the day in the Piedmont at Lake Norman. But the atmosphere here at this hour doesn't scream severe weather. Have a feeling the line breaks up as it heads our way. Not enough instability.
  12. I'm up at our cabin in West Jefferson for the next 4-5 days. Haze here today was thick. Hope we get some boomers tomorrow with lots of rain to clear it out a bit.
  13. Amateur opinion here. 2023 dynamics can't be accurately modeled. This storm will not be a victim of the graveyard.
  14. 2.00" today in Cornelius near Lake Norman. Had 3 tornado warnings literally all around us to the north, south, and east. Saw a funnel cloud passing over the lake with the 1st warned storm. Quite an active day with an expected active week ahead.
  15. Tornado may be on the ground just east of Huntersville
  16. Wow that Newton tornado is about 30 minutes west of where I grew up in Colquitt County. It's going to be a long night in southwest GA. Multiple rounds of severe weather.
  17. Albany and Baconton possibly in the bullseye for this storm if it stays together.
  18. Large tornado on the ground in southwest GA. Approaching Milford.
